Canon City is a city in Douglas County, Colorado, United States. The population was 27,567 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Canon City is located in the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains and has a high altitude point at 9,474 feet (3,814 m). The city began as a small farming community called "Canon" on the east side of Canon Creek. In 1892, George Waddell opened what became Canon City's first post office and started to develop the area into a town. On October 1st 1907, Canon City incorporated as a municipality with a population of 10 people. The original downtown core was built around an enlarged flour mill which still stands today and is home to many local businesses including The Kwik Shop restaurant and hardware store which also operates as an art gallery/concert hall. Over time other businesses have been added such as churches (three now), schools (six), hotels (four), apartments (one), and warehouses - all contributing to the unique character of Canon City today. Today, Cannon City enjoys wide acclaim for its restaurants and nightlife options which include two cigar bars/libraries that are open late each night; multiple live music venues throughout town; world-renowned golf courses within minutes' drive; five hospitals within easy walking distance; three shopping malls within minutes' drive; four professional sports teams playing in Colorado Springs or Denver - including two MLB teams - as well as numerous tourist attractions like Six Flags Over Colorado Rockies amusement park located nearby or Aspen Mountain Resort & Spa located just outside town limits. As one of North America's fastest-growing cities over the past decade while still maintaining its small-town feel, CannonCity has attracted more than $100 million worth of investment creating new jobs and bringing much-needed attention to this struggling corner of western Colorado Springs. With so much happening in such close proximity it’s no wonder why some residents say they can barely keep up with changes taking place right next door!
There are many coffee gift histories to be written, but one of the most memorable is that of Donny and Marie Osmond. On July 8, 1961, Donny proposed to Marie while they were both working at The KFC in Lexington Kentucky. Her answer was swift - she said yes! They married on December 6th that year and moved to Palm Springs, California where they enjoyed their time together. In 1986, Donny passed away after a long battle with cancer. Though his wife never stopped loving him, she lost all sense of joy when he passed away. She decided then and there that she would always keep coffee as her favorite gift from him. In 2002, she opened a small café called "Donny's Coffee" in honor of her husband and friend. There are now over 30 years of memories between them and everyone who has visited their café loves it!

Canon City is a small town in the U.S. state of Colorado, located in Arapahoe County. The population was 1,048 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Canon City was founded by members of the Miller family in 1878 as a wagon stop on the Little Colorado River between present-day Canon City and Golden Valley. The original settlers were Ira and Alva Miller who named their new community after George Orman, an early settler in this area. The first post office was established in 1879, and it moved to its current location near Interstate 25 in 1886. By 1900, there were over 100 residents living in Canon City. In 1916, Canon City became an incorporated town when all of Arapahoe County was organized into one county; it has since been renamed multiple times according to its changing demographics and economic fortunes – most recently as Canon City again within Arapahoe County following annexation by Aurora on January 1st 2017
Cannon City was founded in 1868 by Dr. John C. Frémont and his wife, Sacagawea. The city is named after General John C. Fremont, who led the first exploring expedition into Colorado Territory. The population of Cannon City grew rapidly from its early days, reaching 100 people by 1880. In 1911, Cannon City became the site of the world’s first air-mail service when the United States Postal Service established a post office in the city.
