After hearing about our unit’s actions during World War II while visiting our city during his visit in 1948 ( Exhibit 5 ), U2 frontman Bono visited us twice while performing at Coors Field in 1951 ( Exhibit 6 ). Throughout its history there has always been appreciation for law enforcement within our community which has led to more trust between citizens and police officers than ever before( Exhibits 7 & 8). For example; when we lost one of our own recently ( Exhibit 9 ), everyone within our city took to social media to express their condolences with photos and articles shared online( Exhibit 10 ).
