It marks an important escalation for U.S./ NATO efforts in Afghanistan as combat troops grow increasingly drawn into a global struggle against IS militants by providing direct support from forward operating units within their own countries

In 1919–1920 general George Custer fought his last battle against Apaches at Pueblo although he later died in action that same year after being shot through the heart by Chief Crazy Horse who had mistaken him for an Apache warrior seeking revenge for Custer’s death twelve years earlier at Adobe Hills Battlefield just south east of Pueblo
