Some of the early pioneers in artisan coffee were the Douglas family in Englewood, Colorado. TheDouglas family started out small and roasted just four or five cups of coffee a day. However, over time they grew and began to roast over 100 pounds of coffee a week. This experience taught them how to develop their own unique flavor profile for their beans. Over time other families also took up the challenge of specializing in artisan coffee. One such family was the Spencers in Westminster, Colorado who roast more than 350 pounds of coffee a week! Their process starts with selecting high-quality beans from around the world and then blending these with local water supplies to create an intense cup of JavaScript Coffee every morning!

TheEnglewood Coffee Company was founded in 1924 by two German immigrants, Ernst and Emilie Engle. The company grew rapidly and soon produces some of the most popular coffee in the area. In 1949, the company became a subsidiary of Roanoke Coffee Corporation. In 1978, Englewood Coffee Corporation merged with Peet's Coffee to form Peet's-Englewood Corporation. In 1998, the company changed its name to Dick's Coffee & Tea Company.
Englewood is a small town in Aurora, Colorado. It was founded in 1868 byHorace Engle and his wife Mary. The population of Englewood was 1,500 when it incorporated as a village in 1907. The current population of Englewood is 9,100. The community has come to be known for its manufacturing enterprises and the nearby Rocky Mountains. In recent years, Englewood has become home to an increasing number of professional athletes and their families. There are also several high-end restaurants and bars in the town center.
As coffee became popular in the late 1800s, artisans popped up all over the world to produce high-quality beans. In America, a number of small roasters and cafes started serving quality coffee from small farmers in the early 1900s. By the 1940s, most American roasters had become large conglomerates and many small farms were lost to coffee production. However, smaller artisanal producers still persisted into the 1970s and 1980s as World War II caused a decline in crop yields in some areas of the world. This led to an increase in demand for high-quality beans from Americans who now traveled abroad to find good beans. In 1985, two Dutch brothers founded their own artisanal coffee company, Koffiekoper Amsterdam (Kona Coffee). The Brothers made unique hand-roasted coffees that appealed to Europeans who wanted something different from their typical grocery store caffeine options. The popularity of Kona Coffee eventually led to other countries followed suit and today there are several hundredartisanal coffee companies worldwide. Each year, dozens of new artisanal roasters open up shop around the world and continue producing amazing cup of Joe just like those served by your local convenience store or supermarket. While it can be difficult to determine which companies are truly "artisan" when it comes to their espresso drinks, there is no doubt that these cafes have brought flavor back into what was once considered mundane everyday items!
The history of artisan coffee is a long and winding one. It started as small, independent shops that roamed the city, grinding their own beans and serving up their own unique blends. But over time, these businesses grew larger and more complex, and soon they were selling their beans to large companies. As the industry matured, smaller cafes closed down or relocated to other areas of the city, while larger businesses took over those spaces. Eventually, there were so many different types of artisan coffee shops that it was difficult to find a true niche within the industry.
Englewood is a small town in Douglas County, Colorado, located on the eastern edge of the Front Range. The population was 2,527 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood metropolitan area. The first Englewood residents were pioneers who moved to what is now this town in 1876 from nearby Aspen and Arapaho City. At that time Englewood consisted of a few farms and a post office. The name “Englewood” was given to the settlement by General Marcy Cooke after he discovered an engraving of Engelwald Forest near Aspen which had been used by early fur traders as an aid to remember their route when traveling through that region. In 1902, Englewood became incorporated as a village under the name "Englewoodsville." In 1909, it changed its name again to "Englewood" after Congressman John D. Rockefeller offered to rename all U.S. towns with initial letters starting with E for every three they had in their populations (Egwene, Eldridge, etc.). However, because Englewood already had two letters (e and n), it refused and kept its current spelling until voters adopted it in 1984 as part of a larger rebranding campaign for all municipalities within Douglas County following passage of Amendment 1 to the Colorado Constitution which granted city status to all villages within Douglas County on July 1st that year (the first such ordinance being passed in any Colorado county). The current name honors Congressman Jesse Loring Engel who served from 1923-1935 and helped pass Amendment 1 into law; also namesake for adjacent parkland including Engel Park/Doherty Lakefront Park & Elmendorf Air Force Base Recreation Area which opened in 1978 & includes several fishing lakes & golf courses
Englewood is a city in Park County, Colorado, United States. The population was 8,829 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Denver-Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Englewood post office opened in 1868. The town was named after Colonel George Engle and his wife Sarah Ann (née Blanchard). The first store in town was called the "Gentile Store." In 1876, the first school in town was built on Fourth Street and named the "Pioneer School." In 1907, Englewood became a city and acquired its present name. On November 1, 1912, Englewood's citizens voted to annex portions of neighboring Thornton. On December 12 of that year they adopted a charter form of government with Aldermen John Wirth as Mayor and James Purdy as Vice Mayor. In 1914, Anschutz Electric Company merged with Colorado Northern Railroad to become Denver-Aurora Electric Railway Company. At this time Englewood annexation became effective for all purposes including Streets and Roads since it had been specifically earmarked forDenver-Aurora Electric Railway Company by City Council resolution No. 2190 entitled an ordinance amending section 2 of said resolution dated October 15th 1910 which provided: "That no part or parcel of any street or alley within the limits hereby annexed shall be sold or leased to any other person or company without prior written consent from said definitive body" On May 1st 1916 when Denver-Aurora Electric RailwayCompany changed their name back to Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad they again annexed all of what is now known as 'Englewood'. This annexation also included much of Aurora including Brown Stadium which still stands today across Euclid Avenue from Englewood High School
