The Air Force deployed gift history to Erie, Colorado in 1954. The service transferred an existing artillery gunnery school from Fort Bliss, Texas to the new installation at Lackland AFB. Named after General Curtis LeMay, the school was initially used as a research and development center for new aviation technology. In 1957, it became operational as the first USAF Weapons School of Excellence. It has since been renamed various times, most recently in 2013 as Southern California Air War College. Since its activation in 1954, Lackland AFB has played an important role in USAF air operations throughout Southwest Asia and the Middle East. In 1990, the installation was selected to become home to US Central Command's Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron-2 which occupied two adjacent wings until 2003 when they were merged into one wing under command of First Air Force Commanding General Hill.[1] Additionally, due to its location on Edwards AFB's west coast it is also home to numerous United States Marine Corps units,[2][3] making it one of the most heavily garrisoned military installations within California. As this article will cover today there are more than 350 tenant organizations located at Lackland AFB with 780 specialties[4] including: nuclear weapons testing; air force intelligence; air defense systems; space programs; counterintelligence services; Special Operations Forces support unit (SOFsu); world peacekeeping forces detachment (WPGF) ; health care facilities ; among others! There have been several deployments of members of Congress visit Lackland AFB over the years both during their state visits or even more so during joint exercises where lawmakers can observe actual USAF operations. More recently some generals have made unofficial visits such as Generals James Mattis who visited in late 2017 and later took office joining Chuck Hagel who made a rare official visit on October 9th 2018 just after taking office[5]. All major commands have presence here with all types of aircraft from fighter jets up to bombers . This gives people like me a chance get close up experience with these impressive machines that often hit headlines hourly around our area! I think this place really does make America great again!

Erie, Colorado is a town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,853 at the 2010 census. Erie is located on the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains and is bordered by the towns of Grand Junction and Aspen to its east and west, respectively. The Erie Canal connects Erie to Lake Erie through the city. The first Europeans to visit what is now Erie were French traders in 1692 who named it for Marquette's Landing on Lake Superior. A post office called "Erie" was established in 1872, and remained in operation until 1924. The name "Erie" has been anglicized to "Albany" since 1984. In 1867, a group of six men from Buffalo organized the Town of Aurora as a separate village with a population of sixty residents. On October 15, 1870 when Aurora incorporated as a City under its own charter it had an estimated population of 2,500 people but only 805 residents lived in the present-day city limits which encompass today's downtown area as well as most of University Avenue between Third Street and Fifth Street northward and much of Main Street eastward including all but one block south of Farnsworth Boulevard where development stopped until after World War II when industrial growth resumed erving mostly for agriculture purposes (the exception being some housing developments around First Place), while small strips along University Avenue served primarily retail trade with single family residences continuing into what are now residential neighborhoods such as Cherry Hills or Belle Terre southward across Farnsworth Boulevard eventually leading ultimately to portions of Highline Village within today's Downtown boundaries vernacular architecture prevailed throughout much that remain largely unchanged since pioneer days characterized by wide streets flanked by high Craftsman-style houses set against deep arches or I-shaped brackets above wide lawns ornamented chiefly with elaborate Corinthian capitals typical trees growing near homes commodious bathhouses were also common features during this time period although they are no longer extant

The IETS kits were sent as part of an American International Cooperation Agency (AICA) program which provides technical assistance and training benefits for foreign countries affected by pandemics such as Ebola or Zika.

Erie, Colorado is a city in western Colorado on the Arkansas River. Erie was founded by German immigrants in 1847 and became an official incorporated town in 1872. The population of Erie was 8,512 at the 2010 census. The history of Erie begins with early pioneers coming to the area in the mid-19th century. One early settler, George Smedley, built a log cabin on what is now Main Street in 1847. This was one of only a few dwellings erected within what would become Erie proper; other pioneer settlements were located farther downriver near present-day Telluride and Aspen. The first post office was established in 1849, and soon after began serving as a primary transportation hub for settlers travelling westward from Telluride and Aspen into what would become Denver County. The original downtown business district ( bounded today by Third Avenue east to west, North Second Street south to north) developed around this time as businesses started packing up to take advantage of river access or settling along new routes opened up due to discovery of oil fields further upstream. In 1870, when Denver County was created from portions of Colorado Territory including Larimer and Jefferson Counties, Erie became part of that newly formed county – though it continue to maintain its own elected governing body until annexation byDenver City in 1904. The growth of Buffalo Bill Cody’s ranching industry during the late 19th century led to increased demand for goods transported overland through the plains northeastward from Fort Collins; this led also to more development along Third Avenue around the turn of the 20th century with sportswear stores such as Foothills Shopping Mall opening atop olderadobe buildings dating back to 1861. As economic opportunities improved throughout most northwestern Colorado during the 1930s and 1940s – aided by major improvements made within Interstate 25 leading southward into Mexico City – significant residential redevelopment began taking place throughout much of central and eastern Erie following World War II footsteps left behind by veteran soldiers who had served their country overseas theatting various points along I-25 en route home across America’s heartlandpi
