In the early 1920s, Evans also became involved in the brewing of coffee beans and espresso machines. In 1932, Eugene A. Evans died suddenly, leaving his business to his son, John E. Evans Sr., who continued to operate the company until 1966. The family sold the business to The Peoples Coffee Company in 1979. That same year, Peoples decided to close its doors for good after more than fifty years of operation in Evans; however, the company's legacy lives on through its namesake coffee brand which continues to be sold throughout Colorado and adjacent states today.

However, Donny has since been recognized as one of Evans' most popular landowners and continues to contribute substantially to its economy today through his ownership of several businesses within town limits including souvenir shop Eve's Antiques & Collectibles, gift shop Eve's Greeting Cards & Gifts and church ministry Eve's Chapel Services Inc.. Today, voting polls place Evanston (the neighboring town) nearly neck-and-neck with Evans with both having over 50% voter turnout - something that may come as no surprise considering how well-educated and affluent Evanston actually is! Despite all these disadvantages however, there are numerous attempts every year by residents involved in various civic organizations (e.g., soccer leagues/teams/ clubs), business owners or even just visitors alike to bring attention to some issue or event that they believe needs additional support or engagement from those living within their community - often resulting in fruitful talks followed by donations or more widespread awareness arising out of it thereafter...

The town name comes from John Wesley's visit to Evans in 1892. The first post office in Evans opened on December 5, 1907. The name of the post office was changed to Evans on May 6, 1912 after the death of J.W.'s father-in-law Wm Clementson Jr.. In 1916 the townsite comprising present day Evans was purchased by local ranchers A F Hagan and Edward Laughlin for $850 cash. They named their ranch "Hagan" after their patriarch A F Hagan who had come to Evans in 1901 from(\ Unknown). In 1922 Harry Nourse became the first white man to cross Edwards Creek when he rode his horse named Lucky down it on a trip from Longmont to Thornton (now Telluride). In 1941 Jerald Palfrey became the first person born within 100 miles of Evans when he moved there from Durango with his family after graduating from high school in nearby Rocky Ford
Evans, Colorado was founded in 1876 by George Evans and his wife Anna. The town was named after Evans' father-in-law, John Evans. In 1881, the Evans family donated land to the city of Denver to help build a new academy. The city built the school on what is now Evanston Avenue and 26th Street. The school served as a high school until it closed in 1957. It reopened in 1961 as the Denver School for Youth and Veterans Affairs before closing again in 1984.
