In 1876, Cyrus McCormick became the first person to bring water-dried coffee beans back to America from Europe where he had been trading goods related to coffee. He named his new product American Coffee because it was exported under that name only in America at that time. From then on, espresso drinks and other variations of caféAmericano quickly became popular throughout Continental Europe and North America. During World War II, Dutch coffees were used as military supplies due to their high quality; they even managed to outdo French beans during that conflict! However today there are still some German farmers who produce very good Indonesian-style Sumatra coffees which compete favorably against European brands

Evans is a small town in the San Miguel County of Colorado, United States. The population was 3,641 at the 2010 census. Evans is located on the south side of the Animas River and is part of the Pueblo–La Plata Micropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlement in what would become Evans was made on February 14, 1868 by James Dickson and wife Elizabeth (Dickson) as "Saddleback Valley". On April 16 of that year they patented to themselves 2,500 acres (120 km²) including present day Evans east ofcurrent U.S. Route 24 and west of Canadian National Railway tracksage northeast of present day Bruce Drive. Timothy Hultgren and his party arrived May 1st from California with wagonloads of goods arriving at what became Fort Collins on May 10th On July 6th 1868 Samuel Gregg established a post office at Evans with four mailbags per week distributed to residents for delivery within their own community In 1870 David Condon organized an agricultural society which grew corn, beans, tomatoes and other vegetables In 1872 JF Potter donated land for a school house which became known as "Pioneer School" hydraulic fracturing began operations at nearby Anadarko Petroleum Corp., starting production in November 2008 and ending in January 2009; this led to increased demand for water for agriculture near Evans

In 1924, George Evans was inducted into the Colorado State Legislature for his work in promoting education and economic development in his home state.
The Evans brothers, who lived in the town of Evans for most of their lives, were instrumental in its growth and development. They were two of the early settlers in Evans and helped to build the first school, which was built on the current site of the civic center. The brothers also established a flour mill and other businesses in Evans.
