The Fort Collins Air Force Base is home to the Colorado Air National Guard's 414th Airlift Wing. The wing provides airlift for a wide variety of military and civilian missions in support of national security, defense, and disaster relief. In addition to providing lift for Operation NORAD-North America's airspace, the wing also flies missions to various other locations in Colorado and neighboring states. Air Force Deployed Gifts has been serving members of the Colorado Air National Guard since 1952. Our history begins with the donation of two C-47s by the United States Army during World War II. Fort Collins is a city in Colorado, United States. The population was 25,604 at the 2010 census. It is the largest city in Weld County, Colorado. The area where Fort Collins now stands was once home to the Kiowa and Arapaho nations of Native Americans. The first Europeans to enter what is now Fort Collins were fur traders from Canada who traveled through this area in 1824. They named the place "Forts Bridger" after General George Armstrong Custer's forces had fought a pitched battle against Indian forces near present-day Fort Bridger in 1856. The town began as a small village called "Natrona" on the eastern edge of what is now downtown Fort Collins. In 1902, when it became part of Denver, Fort Collins became one of only two cities in Colorado without an elected mayor. In 1964, during the height of Denver's hippie movement and preceding its fall from grace after the assassinations of John F Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., Fort Collins erected a large wooden fence around most of its downtown district as part of Mayor Don Murray's attempt to retain control over downtowns during what he saw as an era of change and growth within his city limits. This event helped spur development within downtown; some businesses moved into vacated buildings or opened up new stores inside what is now known as Civic Center District. Today, much has changed since then: Downtown has seen significant revitalization spearheaded by local developer Phil Anschutz with help from state funds; while much still remains unchanged about how things operated circa 1964 (and before), this time period provides a unique window into how different aspects – both good and bad – have influenced each other throughout recent years at City Hall on Larimer Street just east of Interstate 25 outside Old Town Chinatown…A Demographic Profile forFortCollins2010 would show that while many residents remain elderly or low income earners (63% vs 74% non-Hispanic white), there are also more young adults (26%) than older adults 65 years or older (14%). Since 2010 however another demographic profile has emerged which challenges Mayor Murray’s perceived grip on power: those making over $100,000/year increasingly form their own communities within miles or hours’ drive away from their jobs rather than live within walking distance like previous generations did….A Demographic Profile forFortCollins2010 would show that although house prices continue to rise rapidly across all income levels (4 out OF 5 homes sold above list price prior to 2009), most people living >$100k/year no longer call FortCollins their primary residence; instead they increasingly reside in adjacent suburbs such as Westminster OR Thornton OR Centennial Hills What started off as simply expanding upon existing zoning regulations into something far beyond what was allowed by municipal law quickly turned into something more dramatic: A full-blown assault on any vestige of regulation which might stand between developers and unchecked market dominance; this eventually led to several lawsuits brought against municipalities across Colorado over laws & ordinances that were seen as unconstitutional encroachment by developers onto unenclosed areas coveted by industry…..Today, with new tax incentives offered exclusively to builders who build high end housing units (>$350K/unit) – including Measure U – Mayor Murray may be able to rekindle hope that FtCollins will become not only economically vibrant but also politically resurgent following decades-long drought & drift towards annexation by nearby Aurora It was decided back then that if we want our community center open late night we needn't worry about getting permits because there will be someone available 24/7 who can come take care of it In 1971 San Miguel Brewing Company founded Aspen Brewery nestled among mountains west side fortcollins CO along I-25

From Amos-6 air defense missile systems to experimental aircraft, the USAF always tries to send a positive message through its gift programs. Here are five examples of how the USAF has supported peacekeeping efforts or assistance with disaster relief: 1) In 1997, when tensions flared between Haiti and Dominican Republic over territory boundaries,the USAF sent humanitarian supplies worth over $1 million as part ofOperation Blessing II. This was one of the largest deployments by any country in Haitian history. 2) In 2002, after Hurricane Mitch struck Nicaragua City killing thousands of people, the USAF donated medical equipment and personnel from its Project Arrow program. This was one of only two deployments by U.S.- Nicaraguan forces in 20 years!3) In 2003, following 9/11 attacks on New York City and Washington D.C.,the USAF donated 2 C-130Js transporting emergency supplies to local first responder teams across New York State (see photo).4) In 2007 after Typhoon Haiyan battered Philippines’ Samar province hardest ever seen on Earth – causing major damage –the USAF dispatched 13 C-17 Globemasters loaded with food and water directly from ClarkAirport in Angeles City!5) AfterNOAA's devastating Deepwater Horizon blowout that killed 11 workers onshore off Louisiana’s Gulf Coast in 2010 – again touching base with local communities through donation drives -the USAAF contributed three MH-60R Seahawk helicopters loaden with food rations for Filipino villagers affected by the disaster
