The City of Fort Morgan Coffee Roasters is a small but successful business that has been crafting delicious cup of coffee since 2005. With over 100 employees and an annual production of up to 5,000 pounds of coffee beans, Fort Morgan Coffee Roasters is one of the largest artisanal roasting businesses in the country. The history of Fort Morgan Coffee Roasters can be traced back to 1988 when five friends decided to start a small café inside their home in downtown FortMorgan. The first concoction brewed at this new café was called “The Gourmet Grind” and it featured blends from around the world (including Ethiopian Yirgacheffe) together with some unique flavors such as absinthe and peppermint extract. Over time, The Gourmet Grind became known as “The fortmarc Café” due to its focus on quality coffee products made right here in town. In 2003, restaurateur/businessman Jeff Siegel purchased the fortmarc Café from Jeff's wife Sue Ann Whitman for $1 million dollars. Siegel quickly turned The Gourmet Grind into a popular tourist destination with locals and visitors alike enjoying their delicious cups of coffee every day from local roaster Mattress Firm . In 2006-2007 Siegel partnered with local brewer Rocky Mountain Coffee Co., which created an innovative brewing process that allowed for higher yields per cup than ever before while still maintaining great flavor profiles . This partnership resulted in increased production for both businesses combined; total output now stands at almost 10 thousand pounds per year! Fort Morgan is a small town located in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 992 at the 2010 census. Fort Morgan is located on the Fort Morgan Indian Reservation. It was founded in 1867 as a trading post by General James H. Cooke and Colonel George Armstrong Custer during the Powder River Wars. The post served as an early center for cattle driving and mining operations in the area. After the end of the American Civil War, Fort Morgan became a garrison for Ulysses S. Grant's Army of West Kansas while also serving as a commercial center due to its rail connections to Denver and other eastern townships. In 1887, Fort Morgan was renamed after Andrew Jackson Jackson's first wife, Rachelle Jefferson Montresor Jackson (1796-1862). The town was reincorporated on November 6, 1912, by ordinance of the Colorado State Legislature following approval from voters who had placed referendum questions on propositions proposing that name changes be made. During World War II, Fort Morgan played an important role in both military airstrikes against Japanese targets and convoy activity during Operation Crossroads which transported supplies upriver to friendly forces fighting in Europe. In 1957, it again became home to civilian residents when soldiers barracks were closed down within sight of town limits; however all active duty troops left after 1963 when Fort Carson replaced it as the fortification complex around Greeley Municipal Airport across from town limits purportedly because Lackland AFB would have been built next door if that airport had been kept open longer than planned TodayFortMorgen has a population of only 600 people but still plays an important role economically due to its location near Greeley Municipal Airport and its ties with the local government through various services such as firefighting and policing

Fort Morgan, Colorado was founded in 1867 by the United States Army as a military post on the Pueblo River. The fort served as a base of operations for an army campaign against the Kiowa and Comanche Indians. In 1870, Fort Morgan became the seat of government for southeastern Colorado. By 1892, it had grown to include a town and hundred square miles of land west of Denver. During the early years of its existence, Fort Morgan played an important role in American expansion into what is now northwestern Mexico and southwestern United States. In 1872, General George Armstrong Custer led his Dakota Cavalry through Fort Morgan on their way to become known as "The conquerors" during the Mexican-American War. Two years later, Captain John J. Pershing commanded American forces against Apache warriors near Fort Garland in present-day Arizona. On November 12, 1875, Union troops under Lieutenant Colonel Alfred Smeaton burned down Fort Garland in retaliation for Apache raids that had killed nine U.S. officers and six enlisted men at nearby San Miguel de Allende two weeks earlier. After decades of service as a military post and center of local government within southeastern Colorado, Fort Morgan was decommissioned in 1935 and merged with other military facilities within southeastern Colorado to form Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Military Park (RMA). Today, RMA remains one of America's largest national defense installations with over 200 million dollars worth of equipment used each year across over 120 acres.
Fort Morgan was founded in 1849 by Captain George Armstrong, a U.S. Army officer stationed at the nearby Fort Leavenworth. The fort served as a military post and trading center for the surrounding area until it was abandoned in 1867. Over time, parts of the fort were used as civilian buildings and then turned into a golf course in 1925.
