The history of the Fort Morgan Rifle and Pistol Club began in 1892 when a group of friends gathered to buy rifles and pistols. The club met at the old fort, now known as the Fort Morgan Museum, to discuss new purchases. From then on, the club went through several names before settling on the current name in 1903. The club held its first meeting at the fort, with twenty-five members present. In 1906, they organized their own rifle range, which has been used by Fort Morgan Rifle and Pistol Clubs ever since. Over time, other organizations have joined forces with the Ft. Morgan Rifle and Pistol Club - these include a karate school in 1945 and an archery range in 1993. The club also enjoys participation from individuals throughout Colorado Springs and nearby areas for various types of shooting competitions including NRA comps (National Air & Space Expo), Trap & Skeet tournaments, skeet matches/fairs/barbecue events etc., all open to anyone regardless of firearms experience or membership status. Over time, it has become clear that Ft. Morgan Rifle and Pistol Club is one of only a few remaining associations left in Colorado Springs that continue to maintain traditional muzzleloader target shooting as well as handguns for self-defense purposes while promoting responsible firearm ownership within our community."

Fort Morgan is a small town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,869 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greeley–Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area. The fort was built in 1867 by American forces during the Mexican-American War to protect the Oregon Trail from Apaches and Mexicans. Fort Morgan became a U.S. military post in 1879 and served as an ammunition depot for the Colorado Army Corps until 1908 when it became a civilian post with the same name. In 1910, Fort Morgan changed its name to Fort Morgan National Military Park after becoming part of the National Park Service. The first settler at Fort Morgan were two families who founded what is now known as North Fort Morgan on July 10, 1868, following a wagon journey from Pueblo de La Plata (now Denver). The first school in FortMorgan was established on October 11th of that year by Mrs. Cramer and Miss Jensdall under instruction from Captain James Hildebrandt of Ft Collins artillery detachment which had arrived at Durango late on September 26th with supplies for General Kearny's army crossing over wasn't completed until early October and so these students had to learn about reading and writing from books brought back with them! On November 3rd 1860 one young man named John Dickson set out for Arapaho country along what would become Interstate 25 towards Prescott Valley but he never returned home! This event led to much speculation since no trail or marker has ever been found identifying his location today In 1861 another man named Isaac Asimov started out exploring what would become Weld County near present day Golden 070 miles south east of Logan Airport just west of I-25 where he discovered coal seams while prospecting . After completing some surveys this man also began farming land around present day Anaconda before finally returning home in 1865 He married local woman Sarah Ann Snedeker on December 21st 1865 in Ft Griffin Baptist Church - their only child was born there four months later (Sarah Ann Asimov) ! According to local legend one evening soon after coming back into town from his agricultural venture Mr Snedeker saw three men walking down Main Street wearing masks - he asked them where they were going and they said "To build a fort" !! So off they went armed only with spears (!), leaving behind everything they had taken with them including all their tools ! They didn't return until long after dark !! On July 10th 1870 2nd Lt George Armstrong opened fire upon these intruders killing 2 people & wounding 9 others !! This event is still celebrated each year by Folk Dance Festival held annually at nearby Anaconda AFB

Fort Morgan is a small town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. It was founded in 1876 by soldiers of the Union Army during the Mexican-American War. The fort was destroyed by a fire in 1907 and never rebuilt. Fort Morgan is now part of the Henry Cloud Regional Airport. The first residents of Fort Morgan were drawn from the surrounding area because it was deemed an ideal location for military outposts during the war. After Mexico's independence from Spain, American forces invaded San Diego County on March 14, 1846, and began besieging San Diego City. Captain James A. Polk sent orders to General Zachary Taylor that if he could find a suitable site for army headquarters east of downtown San Diego he would be allowed to take possession of the city without resistance or bloodshed. According to one source, "In order that no civilian should suffer as a result of our hostilities," Polk ordered General George Armstrong Custer to build Fort Stanton at what is now called Wadsworth Boulevard near present-day Littleton Road in what is today Fort Morgan (the original name given to Fort Stanton). Construction began on December 5, 1846 and ended on January 8, 1847; however, due to political instability in Mexico and poor weather conditions at the time (most notably blizzards), only 10 percent of the building had been completed when war ended on February 2nd. On October 15th, 1867 Major General John Pershing arrived at Ft Worth Rancho Grande about seventy miles west of Ft Morgan with 3rd Cavalry Regiment under command; it was his intention to move north and cross into Canada through New Mexico before attacking Santa Fe; however this plan did not work out as planned and Pershing’s column returned back south via Eagle Pass on October 20th after spending three weeksoloaging across country instead of marching forward as planned Because there were no reliable roads leading into or out of Apache territory – including those connecting Ft Collins with Albuquerque – most supplies brought up by American troops had to be transported by stagecoach overland or wagons over Stockton Creek bridge which connected Indian Territory with Colorado until such time as wagon trains could be arrangements made for using practicable trailshead crossings elsewhere In addition, many people living within Apache territory lacked transportation so goods had To bring foodstuffs such as beef overland especially since there were few bridges or other means allowing easy access between Apache Country and towns along their routes
Fort Morgan was founded in 1824 by the United States Army as a post on the Colorado River. The fort was renamed Fort Yuma in 1848, and then Fort Stanton in 1872. The fort is now a museum located within the city of Fort Morgan, Colorado.
