The U.S. Air Force operates the world's largest airlift force, consisting of more than 350 aircraft and a range of capabilities that include strategic bombardment, disaster relief, search and rescue, counterterrorism missions, and medium-lift transport capacity. The USAF is also responsible for numerous aerospace museums throughout the nation that offer visitors unique insights into American aviation history. The history of the USAF gift shop begins with World War I when pilots in Colorado Springs donated their flying equipment to help support the war effort. In 1919, when theAAF was established as an independent branch of the military, Colorado Springs became its Headquarters. From then until 1972, HQ AAFS operated out of what is now called Flightline Museum at Fountain Airport. During this time Period (1919-1972), many veteran airmen from around the country donated their planes and components to HQ AAFS as part ofOperation Eagle Claw/VI Bomber Command Day Parade flyaway program which celebrated bomber capability in America during WWI. Many other types of aircraft were also gifted over this period such as: P-51 Mustang fighter planes; B-24 Liberator bombers; F4U Corsair fighters; KC-135 Stratotanker tanker jets; Cessna 172 light trainers; BellancaJetBlue turboprop airplanes etc., which are on display at various locations across America today! In 2002, HQ AAFS moved from its old facility at Fountain Airport to its current home at Peterson AFB near Denver in order to better serve all those who work within Squadron Aerospace Systems (SAS) located there including our customers worldwide! During this time we opened our gift shop annex adjacent to our main hangar where we continue to offer Restoration Department services onsite for individuals or groups interested in restoring vintage aircraft! Fountain, Colorado is a small town located in Weld County, Colorado. The population was 1,717 at the 2010 census and it is the smallest of the eight municipalities in Weld County. The climate in Fountain is moderate to severe with hot summers and cold winters. Average annual rainfall ranges from about 100-130 inches (25-45 cm). In addition to its mild climate, Fountain also has some scenic attractions that make it an excellent place for a vacation or short trip. The first people who lived in what is now Fountain were Native Americans. They hunted and gathered food near the river that flows through town. The area around where Fountain now stands was used as a hunting ground by the Fremont people before they started trading with other tribes. After European contact arrived, settlers began arriving in large numbers beginning in 1876. Many of these new arrivals were farmers who bought land near the river to grow crops and livestock. In 1912, Fountain incorporated as a municipality which increased its size by adding several smaller towns within its boundaries. Today, Fountain is one of the smallest municipalities in Weld County with only 1,717 residents living on its own campus nicknamed "The Village." Fountains centerpiece attraction is undoubtedly its namesake fountain which features prominently on all local tourist posters and maps throughout town! It's actually not too far from any busy streets - just walk down Main Street towards Interstate 25! - so visitors are likely to be able to see it from anywhere in town!

Fountain is a small town in Williamson County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Westminster–Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area. Fountain was founded by Nicholas Fountain and his wife Sarah on May 12, 1860 as a station on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. The name comes from the Fountain family's home in nearby Fort Collins. The first post office in Fountain was established on November 16, 1868. In 1875, John A. Smith moved to the town and began to operate a flour mill and grocery store which became one of the most successful local businesses. By 1896, there were two newspapers in town - The Herald (founded 1865) and The Orchard (founded 1889). The community experienced some growth during World War II as many residents served in the military or were drafted into service. Many factories closed during that time including Smith's flour mill which ceased production around 1951; however, other businesses continued to thrived such as an auto dealership until it closed in 1984 and then a clothing factory until it shuttered in 1988 also leaving behind an empty lot which has since been redeveloped into mixed-use development known as "Fountain Plaza". In 2013, developers announced plans for another mixed-use project called "Fountain Hills" with retail space on one side and residential units on the other side overlooking Interstate 25 near Future Homes USA shopping center. Construction is planned to begin in late 2016 and should be fully completed by early 2019 when turnout of new development will have increased significantly over original projections On July 8th 2018 Trump International Golf Club put forth proposals for a $50 million expansion that would include 4 courses totaling 618 acres with hotel/condominiums/sports halls etc…the expansion would bring more than 2 thousand jobs directly to Clear Creek Valley while also improving infrastructure across all 5 golf courses making it one of president trump’s biggest projects yet!
