Fountain is a small town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,851 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous municipality in Weld County. As of the 2000 census, Fountain had an estimated population of 2,059. The first coffee beans were roasted and ground by David Butler and other members of his family in the early 1800s on their farmstead near what is now downtown Fountain. By 1892, Mr. Brownell's son-in-law Daniel Beard had moved to Fountain from Aurora and became one of its first citizens with a grocery store and brewing shop on Main Street that he opened in 1892. In 1915, residents voted to name their town after J P wetterling who had founded Denver's first coffee house - The Coffee House - just east of downtown on 14th Avenue North (now within walking distance of Fountain). In 1949, local resident Vernon Wehner started roasting his own beans for marketing purposes under the name "Wehner Bros." located at 327 South First Street until it closed in 1978 due to high lead levels in drinking water from a nearby plumbing company well. The first coffee shop in Fountain was founded in 1912. It was called the Fountain Coffee Roasters and served coffee from a small roasting facility on 5th Avenue. In 1945, the store moved to its current location on Market Street and continued serving coffee until it closed in 1984.
Fountain is a town in southern Colorado, United States. The population was 2,533 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pueblo Grande Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to move into Fountain were the Anasazi and they built their own village on top of an ancient mesa called Mesa Bonita or "The Happy Mesa." In 1876, prospectors discovered oil reserves near Fountain and soon a boomtown began to form. By 1880, there were over 1,000 people living in Fountain and it had become the largest city in Southern Colorado. In 1907, railroad magnate Charles Evans Hughes donated land for a new airport which would serve as the hub for all southern Colorado transportation. The townspeople quickly started building infrastructure such as a water system and school buildings. With so much progress being made in such a short time frame, it's no wonder that by 1912 Fountain had overtaken nearby Denver as the most populous community in Southern Colorado. Today, Fountain is known for its impressive architecture including some of the tallest wooden buildings in America such as The Masonic Temple and The churches of Christmastime (St Anthony's). There are also many art galleries and restaurants throughout downtown which make it one of the most vibrant communities around.

Fountain is a small town located in Routt County, Colorado, United States. The population was 2,934 at the 2010 census. Fountain was founded in 1881 by two brothers who were prospectors and loggers. In 1902, the town name was changed to Fountain after a local waterfall. The school district was established in 1909 and the first high school opened in 1922. Today, Fountain is home to the Fountain Community School District and it also contains a number of businesses including an ice cream parlor, confectionery store, gas station, library, post office, restaurant and several mosques. The history of Fountain begins with two brothers who were prospectors and loggers. They named their new settlement after a local waterfall that they had seen on their journey from Glenwood Springs to Fort Collins. After being settled for some time they started trading goods with other settlements in the area and by 1881 they had built some homes and began producing crops such as wheat and oats. From 1903-1911 they served as members of the Town Council which helped provide stability within the community while various endeavors were undertaken such as improving infrastructure such as roads and water systems. In 1907 a new high school opened in nearby West Jordan which quickly became popular due to its convenient location close to Interstate 25A (the original bypass road). As more people moved into this growing community there arose issues with space shortages so another high school was built adjacent to it in 1923 which doubled as both schools’ athletic fields until 1975 when East Jordan High School opened instead which has since been renamed East Jordan Elementary School for students grades K-8th grade In 1952 residents voted to change their name back to Fountain after receiving support from Mayor John Jernigan In 2002-2004 attempts were made by locals to get federal funding for a new downtown development but no funds ever came through so plans for that failed In 2014 developers announced plans for what would become known as Renaissance Square across from West Jordan Elementary/Middle School which included housing units downriver from where current residents live along with business spaces upstairs including an ice cream parlor downstairs along with several restaurants upstairs plus an attached garage Currently under construction are three additional buildings: One will be called "The Lakeshore" Another will be called "Renaissance Place" And Finally "The Prominence" This square will have several theming elements like statues of each state's governors carved out of limestone blocks leaving differing perspectives looking out over Riverside Park - all within walking distance of one another
