Fountain, Colorado is a town located in Weld County, Colorado. It was founded in 1872 by farmers and ranchers looking for an area to grow crops. The first coffee beans were grown here in the 1870s. Today, Fountain is known as a small town with a big coffee history. Many of the people who live in Fountain were involved in the business of coffee growing and processing until the early years of this century. The earliest recorded mention of coffee being brewed at Fountain came from John Wesley Powell during his exploration of the Rocky Mountains in 1902. He noted that he had heard about a place called "Fountain Coffee" and thought it might be worth exploring further. In 1912, local businessman J W Hargrave began manufacturing espresso machines near where he lived on North Main Street. By 1928, Gourmet Coffee had opened its doors on East Second Avenue just south of downtown Fountain. Today Gourmet Coffee is one of the largest coffee companies in the United States and their products are sold throughout most of North America including Mexico, Canada, Europe, Asia Pacific, South Africa and Australia. They offer over 50 different types of coffeesincluding 8 different roasts each dayand have over 2 million customers worldwide! In 1898 two brothers named Harry and Willy Engleberg started what would eventually become Starbucks Corporation based out of Seattle Washington USA (now Seattle Washington State). When they opened their first store they used pure Arabica beans which meant that they were not subject to adulteration or quality control like many otheracupuncturists at that time (which often led to inferior products). Fountain is a small town in Routt County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,829 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lakewood-Aurora-Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Fountain is one of the few remaining small towns in the Rocky Mountains and has been around since it was founded in 1872. The first coffee house in Fountain was called The Coffee House (later renamed The Glen) and opened on Main Street in 1872 by John Gentry. In 1905, the original Gazetteer reported that "The Coffee House has long been an important landmark and social center hereabouts". By 1912, there were six coffee houses operating within a radius of Fountain: Two on Main Street, three on Park Avenue (now Boulevard), four on State Street (now Broadway), and one each along State Street between Boulevard and Broadway. In 1916, local businessmen Harry Potter and Willard Atwater pooled their money to open the first all-electric coffee mill in America at what is now known as Fountain Place. This mill became known as The Atwater Mill because its owners subscribed to an electric distribution system operated by Consolidated Edison Company. In 1928, local businessman/politician Elmer Fenton bought property adjacent to his home for use as a commercial district including a grocery store, movie theater, bowling alley, restaurant and hotel called The Lodge which served as both political headquarters for Routt County during prohibition years and also functioned as a dropoff point for service workers from nearby Denver who used Interstate 25 to reach town limits before returning home. In 1933 Fenton donated land near his home to become Fountain National Monument which contains several historic buildings including AGRO's old factory complex where earlyamerican crop improvement products were manufactured until it closed in 1984; the fountain itself - once erected with impressive stone arches typical of regionalivas such as Santa Fe Springs; two IMAX screens showing motion pictures; more than 100 periodical subscriptions offered free of charge through Sunday morning newspapers available at participating eateries; hiking trails leading off into surrounding national forest lands providing access to several springs including THULE Spring Basin Resort located five miles away across US 285 from town limits); public restrooms with attendants available 24 hours per day seven days per week inside or outside building while supplies last; children's play area complete with slide rule missiles playground equipment (theater shows moved out when IMAX screen changed over from 3D to 2D technology in 2009); rain gardens located west curb of park avenue next to ASHP Riverfront Aquarium

It lies just east of Interstate 25 on U.S. Routes 6 and 29 and west of Interstate 40, making it easily accessible from both sides of the mountains. Fountain is named after an 8-foot (2-meter) high rock that stands in front of the local post office. The rock has been said to have magical properties since its creation by Theodore Roosevelt in 1892 as part of a park he created in honor of his wife, Alice Paul Grant. Theodore Roosevelt had a huge impact on Fountain during his lifetime, playing an important role in expanding access to education and health care for Americans across the country. He also helped create nearby Aspen Springs Resort which now offers more than 10 different types of activities for visitors including golfing, hiking, swimming, fishing, tennis and horseback riding.

Fountain is a small town in Moffat County, Colorado, United States. The population was 546 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Collins-Pine Creek Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to live in Fountain were the Anasazi. A post office was established at Fountain in 1876, and mail was brought into town by horse and wagon. The first store opened in 1889. In 1902, the town name was changed to "Fountain" after John Fountaine's well near the town square. In 1912, an oil well was drilled in Fountain and began production on land that would later become known as Pikes Peak National Park. This led to a boom in business for local businessmen, including Wernher von Braun who ran his own gas station and restaurant there until his death in 1978. In 1934, ranches that used water from Lake Mead were turned over to the towns of Loveland and Longmont for development as housing developments called "The Plateau". As more people moved into these areas, Fountain began to lose its importance as a farming community. However, it regained some importance when Interstate 25 bypassed downtown Loveland and went through Fountain instead; this made it easier for drivers to get around without having to go through Loveland or Fort Collins again. In 1971, developers started developing what would eventually be called Keystone Crossing which would include a shopping mall with restaurants and hotels on top of an office complex built on top of an artificial mountain peak overlooking downtown Loveland and Ft Collins In 1984 (the same year they built Keystone Crossing), two new high schools were added: Fountain High School (which serves students from south Boulder) and Garden Valley High School (serving students from north Boulder). On July 1st 2002 both schools merged into one school - Garden Valley High School - becoming part of Moffat County Community College District #2.. Since then many businesses have closed down because of economic recession such as Toys 'R' Us., Macy's., Sears., JCPenney., Best Buy... fountain has lost alot of its people too many have had jobs moved away from here during this time
