Fountain, Colorado is home to one of the most significant coffee production sites in the world. The area has been designated a National Historic Landmark for its coffee production history. In addition to Fountain, other locations in this region have also been recognized as coffee Production Centers. The oldest known permanent Coffee plantations were located in what is now Fountain County, Colorado. For many years, it was thought that these prehistoric beans had come from Africa or South America. However, more recent research has revealed that the beans may have originated from Mexico! This early discovery and planting of Coffee trees gives us our first indication of how important Coffee was to early colonists and settlers in this area! The first Starbucks opened their doors in 1985 on Second Street in downtown Fountain. At the time, it was one of the first restaurants and cafes with air-conditioning and an espresso machine! The popularity of Starbucks led to other coffee shops popping up throughout western Colorado until there are now over 100 registered Coffee Shops throughout our state! During World War II, Fountain produced some of the most valuable coffee beans ever found! A large proportion of these beans were used by Boeing for their Aircraft fuel blend. After the war ended, many farmers who’d grown these Beans decided to sell them off or give them away as part of a peace settlement process called “Coffee Giveaway”. Some remain available today through various events such as auctions or car shows!

Fountain, Colorado is home to the oldest coffee house in the United States. The first Coffee House was built in 1796 and served as a place for farmers and other residents of Fountain to meet. Today, Coffee House continues to serve as a meeting spot for local businesses and residents.
Fountain is a small town in Weld County, Colorado. It had a population of 1,844 at the 2010 census. The community is located in the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains and is named after Fountain Creek which flows through it. In 1859, three men from nearby Durango decided to build a sawmill on the creek. They named their new community after Fountain Creek. The mill was destroyed by fire in 1886, but it reopened in 1889 as the United States Steel Mill. The mill closed again in 1996 but has been reborn as a museum dedicated to steel production in Weld County. The first settler to arrive in Fountain was James Hickey on October 10th, 1867. He and his family traveled downriver from Telluride and built a cabin on what is now called Hickey's Hill (now part of the city of Greeley). Around this time there were only two routes between Greeley and Denver - one via Summit Pass and one via Highway 11 which crossed over Black Mesa at milepost 6 today known as Keystone Road. Traveling downriver became much more difficult with increasing mileage between these points so Hickey decided to move upriver along what is now called Main Street (later US-12) where he founded his business - A & J Cattle Company - making milk for local farmers and selling hides, meat, eggs and other products from his farmstead until 1865 when he sold out to Jethro Gibbs who renamed him Gibbs & Sons Paper Merchants from downtown Durango because that's where he found paper money for sale back then! This company later became United States Paper Corporation which operated until 1959 when it merged into Dow Chemical Company parent company!

In 1920, French engineer Gaston Leroux designed an automatic grenade launcher that could fire small cups of espresso-based munitions called "grenades cartouches." These grenades were fired from cannons located at strategic points in France during the war. Asymmetric warfare required caffeine-based munitions that were both inaccurate and dangerous to enemy forces - which is where Tactical Coffee came into play! In 1949, General Electric began producing rifles chambered for .50 caliber rounds known as M1 Carbine cartridges which included ground beans that had been reconstituted into 50% café beans (or "ground chicory"). This gave rise to the first true world cup of tactical coffee - held at Fort Benning Army Air Field in Georgia in 1951 - where over 350 soldiers from all over the world participated in brewing some of the most unique cup experiences ever experienced! The resulting drink was dubbed "The International Cup" after GE's marketing department decided it would be a successful title for their product! Since then, many different brands have sponsored world cup events; including Starbucks®, Dunkin' Donuts®, KFC®, Pepsi® and Coca Cola® who have all helped contribute to growth and popularity of this amazing beverage worldwide! Fountain is a small town located in Moffat County, Colorado, United States. The population was 2,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Rocky Mountain Time Zone. Fountain was founded in 1878 by John A. Fountain and his wife Martha Capps, who named it for the Spring of Youth located nearby. In 1888, Harry Hereford opened a general store and post office in Fountain and quickly became its mainstay. In 1907, the first telephone line arrived in Fountain and began to be used by residents and businesses alike. By 1923, there were two schools in town- one for students in grades K-8 and one for high school students up through 12th grade. In 1925, a railroad station was built to serve as a hub for local travelers heading into Moffat County on horseback or carriages covered with banners reading "Fountain: On Your Way". The years following World War II saw an increase in industry within Fountain- including meatpacking plants (later closed), aluminum smelting operations (which ceased production after the war), oil refineries (which operated until 1984) and other manufacturing companies that would continue to occupy space inside or near downtown during the late 20th century. As these industries declined over time, so too did Downtown Fountain's stature as a community hub; however, some new businesses have begun occupying much of what once housed these defunct entities throughout this period - most notably Bistro Iris which reopened in 2016 after several months of renovation inside an old pump truck garage across from Town Hall Square Garden off Main Street.. Today's fountaintown undergoes periodic updates/maintenance due to both environmental concerns around water usage – especially when it comes to energy use – as well as changes brought about by current economic conditions within the area surrounding it (including increased pedestrian traffic). One such recent event occurred on May 1st when officials announced plans to close parts of Main Street between Elmwood Avenue and Westminster Road due to concerns about water consumption from various business owners along that stretch; though no specific closures were made public at that time there are likely future plans related to this issue should additional scrutiny arise concerning how much water each individual business actually uses...
