Golden, Colorado is a small city located in the Rocky Mountains of western Colorado. The population was 3,452 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Arapaho County. As a result of this business growth and prohibitionism, many well-to-do citizens lost their investments and fortunes during those years. However, many other businessmen did manage to keep their businesses afloat during Prohibition by developing new methods for extracting gold from mines - including open pit mining techniques which required less labor than underground mining but produced more dust clouds and environmental problems).
