National Guard gifts have been a part of the Littleton community for years. When Colorado became a state in 1876, the United States military was already present, and so the first National Guard unit was formed in Littleton. The unit was called "The Boulder Guards". They served as an auxiliary force to the local militia and were responsible for providing security within their city. In 1912, when Colorado became a state with its own National Guard, the Boulder Guards were disbanded and their role in Littleton diminished. However, they still remain an important part of Littleton's history. In 1978, they were again reformed as The Denver Northside Guards and continue to serve as a ceremonial presence in town. Today, they are one of the oldest active National Guard units in Colorado. Throughout its long history, The Denver Northside Guards have shown themselves to be dedicated volunteers who care about their community. Their service has helped makeLittleton an internationally known tourist destination and made it possible for many people to enjoy all that this small town has to offer!

This allows for an even greater sense of community among those who are part of this force. Because so many people are willing to donate their time and energy towards service within our Armed Forces, we have come to appreciate and cherish what they do for us. National Guardsmen often receive commendations from both political leaders and members of the general public alike for their bravery and sacrifice on behalf of our country. The Colorado National Guard was founded on July 1, 1876 by the state of Colorado. The first members of the guard were men from Littleton.
Littleton is a city in Colorado, United States. The population was 22,545 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Boulder County. Littleton has been called "the Gateway to the Rockies" and "The City of Arts and Culture." The city was named after George Washington Littlefield, a settler who platted what is now Littleton in 1872. The first permanent residents in what is today Littleton were some men from Canada who passed through the area on their way to the Kansas Territory during the early 1800s. In 1875, two brothers, Wm. Hargrave and Alfred Burtrawell purchased land east of present-day Central Avenue for $1 per acre (0.50 km²). Three years later they donated all of their land plus an addition .25 acres (0.12 km²) for a town square which became known as North Park Square/North Park Boulevard/South Park Boulevard/East Littleton Square/. In 1897, when Haskell Weiser founded Denver & Rio Grande Railroad south of downtown Denver, he bought property northeast of North Park Square and developed it into Weiser Ranch which included much of what is now North Park Square. This ranch was used as grazing land by cattle ranchers until 1925 when it became part of University Hill Development Corporation whichowned most of northcentral Denver includingmuchofwhatisnowNorthParkSquare/. In 1920 Boulder County was established and East Littleton Square became its county seat; North Park Boulevard served as its primary street gridiron road network artery with arterial designation only starting after 1930 when portions thereof were annexed by neighboring towns or cities like Aurora or Broomfield before becoming Comprehensive Streets within municipalities boundaries completely under municipal jurisdiction with no further development except for new intersections created by annexation etcetera resulting in major redevelopment along major arterial routes throughout most if not all incorporated areas within recent decades despite repeated assertions that comprehensive streets are not necessary given current traffic patterns etc.. With few exceptions comprehensive streets have been successfully implemented throughout much of our metropolitan area despite continuing objections from opponents claiming that such streets will lead to sprawl etcetera culminating with this paper providing evidence contrary thereto

Littleton, Colorado is a small town in the San Miguel County seat of Pueblo. The population was 8,521 as of 2010. It is the second most populous community in Pueblo and the fifth most populous town in Colorado. The area that now makes up Littleton was first settled by Europeans in 1810. At that time it was part of Mexico City and had a population of about 25 people. In 1814, when peace returned to the region following months of warfare between Mexico and United States over boundary changes in New Mexico, settlers from Fort Lyon began moving into what is today Littleton from eastern Colorado. By 1830, the city had grown sufficiently to be named for George Washington Carver who led an expedition through the area in 1829; General James A. McNary followed suit two years later with all three settlements consolidated under one name: Carverville/Littleton. The early days at Littleton were difficult as there was little water available and transportation was slow due to Lackland Creek not being navigable until after 1850. However, thanks to irrigation systems developed during this period, agriculture became dominant and support for businesses grew quickly including a post office (1828), tavern (1830), brewery (1839), store (1847), bank (1851), millinery shop (1911) and livery stable (1917). One highlight during this time was the construction of Second Stage Road which connected Pueblo with Carbondale via Medicine Bow Pass providing easy access for goods and passengers travelling between these two cities; it remains one of Pueblo’s longest thoroughfares today.During World War I local production helped contribute $3 million (£2 million) worth of munitions to Allied war effort while also creating 2 American jobs – $1 per job created! In 1930 Littleton experienced its first major tornado outbreak which killed 3 people and injured many more; this event is still remembered by residents as one of their worst moments ever! Over the next few decades various emergency services were established including firefighting, ambulance service, police department and water supply system; these services remain integral parts of our community today. The Littleton post office was established on December 1, 1879, and remained in operation until it closed on November 6, 1971. In its early days, the small town of Littleton relied heavily on the mail service to get its residents and businessesÖ deliveries were made twice a day.
