The department's history began with a few officers and their families setting up a store front that sold items related to law enforcement. In 1951, Officer Harry Sipple set up an office at 5th Avenue and Pearl Street in Littleton with donations from his friends and family. The store continued until 1983, when officer Bobbi Krouse took over as head officer. Krouse was instrumental in creating the Littleton Police Museum which opened its doors in 1984. She also spearheaded the development of gift programs for the department which continue to this day. These programs include the Officer's Award Program, which rewards officers who donate time or money towards community service; The Bobbi Krouse Scholarship for Girls; and The Detective Awards Program which honorsinguished detectives who contribute significant amounts of time or money towards crime prevention initiatives within their jurisdiction. Littleton is a small city in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 7,653 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Weld County and home to Littleton Community College. The town was founded in 1876 by John Fitch and named after his native land, Scotland. He bought 640 acres (250 hectares) of land west of Fort Collins and began developing it into a small community. In 1882, Fitch donated an acre (0.40 hectare), which became Littleton's first public square. The town grew rapidly due to its location near Fort Collins and the discovery of oil within its boundaries in 1901. By 1907, Littleton had two churches and 20 businesses with a population of 100 people. In 1928, residents voted to incorporate as a municipality; the town charter was adopted that same year. In 1951, Littleton annexed the unincorporated communities of Pikes Peak Estates and Longmont for $2 per capita; these annexations were made effective on July 1, 1951. On November 8th ballot results showed that voters approved having both municipalities become part of Littleton City Limits; this change took effect on January 1st 1958 Founded in 1876 by John Fitch as "Scottish Village" adjacent to Fort Collins

Littleton is a city in Adams County, Colorado, United States. The population was 7,752 at the 2010 census. Littleton is the principal city of the Littleton–Granite City Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is also part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO Combined Statistical Area. The first European to map and name Littleton was Domingo Garcés on July 24, 1764 during his expedition led by José Francisco de la Hoz in what is now Coryell County. Garcés named a creek after José Miguel de Abascal y Urdaneta who served as judge for Pueblo del Paso in 1759 – also near present day Telluride. In 1814 two brothers named John Crouse built a log schoolhouse and store in what is now Grant Park across from Granite Creek which later became known as the Townsite of Grant Park. The Crouse School District No. 2 erected its first school building on October 25, 1819 at 209 E Main Street (now University Boulevard). In 1860 Wm Geo Shaver founded the townsitePost Office business at 308 N Main Street which he ran until it burned down in 1862 while being operated by his son Wm Geo Flanders Shaver Sr.. In 1865 Tilton Waddell opened an agency selling flour and other groceries to farmers east of Denver along US Highway 508 from what would become State Avenue today. A post office called Northcliffe had been established at this site in 1869 but it moved to Centennial Avenue in 1928 when that avenue was cut through downtown Littleton between Sherman and Capitol streets making it impossible for mailmen to delivered mail directly to residents’ homes This lack of central delivery caused much frustration among locals who began calling themselves “The Postmasters” or simply “The People” because they could not get their mail anywhere except from Centennial Avenue whereupon Governor John Evans ordered General George Armstrong Custer to march his army through downtown Littleton destroying all buildings inside twenty five miles of Colfax River including Northcliffe so that no moreProvidence Mail could reach its destination George Washington Carver opened his grocery store on Walnut Street southeast of Granite Creek about 1890 becoming one of Colorado's largest food retailers In 1907 Jno Suggs organized a group called "The Civic League" which campaigned for municipal government within Littleton limits with ideas such as providing water supplies and garbage collection services; creating fire departments; establishing schools; providing municipally run insurance; and more . After unsuccessfully trying to create municipal government within Littleton boundaries for many years they disbanded their organization around 1915 before again attempting something similar ten years later when they were successful This time they formed the current City Council with Jno Suggs serving as Mayor
In 1876, a group of settlers led by John Littleton established the city of Littleton on the eastern edge of Colorado. The town was named after his father, who had been killed in a skirmish with Native Americans near the area that now includes Littleton. In 1902, Littleton became part of Denver and its predecessor cities were enlarged by annexing smaller towns to the north and east.
