As a result, AFSOC is widely respected within the USAF and is often credited with playing a key role in providing deterrence against potential threats both domestically and abroad.

Its thriving economy has led to numerous improvements such as more than 20 new businesses opening up in recent years alone; growing population; increased occupancy rates for housing; and creation of several dozen new jobs – all while keeping its historical values alive."

The company was reorganized as the Western Colorado Railroad in 1903. In 1912, the company built a line east from Durango to Trinidad. The same year, it built a line west from Trinidad to Aspen. In 1916, the company built a line between Aspen and Golden City. In 1920, the Western Colorado Railroad merged with two other railways to form the Colorado Central Railway (CCR).
