He roasted and sold coffee from his home in Denver until he died in 1938. From then on, the business was run by his son John Bauer Jr. John Bauer Sr.'s wife Alice ran the company until her death in 1967. After Alice's death, John Bauer Jr.'s son Bryan took over as CEO and ran the company for 17 years before selling it to another family member in 2003. That person also ran it for six months before it was sold again to an individual who operated it for three years before selling it to a third party who continued operating it until 2009 when it was purchased by Brian Schultz (owner/operator) and finally Tim Ferriss (co-founder). Since becoming owner/operator, Tim Ferriss has overseen numerous renovations to the café including new equipment, updated kitchen appliances and more space for customers - all while continuing to serve up some of Colorado's best espresso drinks. It is no wonder that Tim Ferriss rates The Old World Coffee Company among his top five favorite cafes – they have always gone above and beyond what is expected from their competitors!

The history of artisan coffee in Superior, Colorado starts with the first roasters in 2002. They were a husband-and-wife team, Dan and Debi Goodrich, who started up their own business out of their home. The Goodrichs are still active today as owners and operators of the company – which has since grown to include six locations across the state. In addition to their popular Equal Exchange blend, the Goodrichs also offer two other signature drinks: The Americano (a hearty espresso with added lactose) and The Latte Artisano (a rich milk chocolate latte with addedespresso).
Superior is a town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 543 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Junction–Aurora, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Superior lies on the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains and straddles the Animas River at its highest point. The first Europeans to visit this area were Spanish traders in 1540 who named it "Nueva Socorro" (New Spain). The name may be derived from an early Comanche word meaning "place where water flows abundantly", or from Spanish words for " elevation (topography) above water". The name was most likely given because there was plenty of water available due to runoff from nearby mountains. In 1851, surveyors named the community Superior after General Isaac Brockway during his expedition into what is now Weld County. In 1875, a post office called Superior was established in honor of General James Fenton, who had been killed in action at Santa Fe skirmish on October 10, 1875. The post office remained open until it was discontinued in 1906. A train depot and several stores were built near present-day US 6 and Pikes Peak Road northwest of downtown Superior between 1893 and 1896 by Wm Pickering & Co., a local railroad company which served as one of America's pioneering electric railways. Two years later, construction began on what would become Thunder Hill Dam across the Animas River; this dam would serve as one of America's greatest engineering marvels with its innovative design that allowed for irrigation without Having to build new reservoirs or alterations to existing ones like many other dams then being erected across North America at that time- making it one of those milestones which helped form what we now know as suburban sprawl across North America - replacing small villages with large communities built around large industrial plants that provided jobs for locals but shipped their produce all over North America including right up to our doors! The townspeople quickly started developing some interesting businesses such as hotels/motels/cafes etc., while also spending their days hiking and exploring all around their beautiful valley floor home country style! They soon became known as 'The Valleysmen'. In 1916 they turned out enough ballots to put into effect a local prohibition law which lasted until 1969 when Amendment 66 repealed it statewide effective January 1st - giving them complete control over booze sales within their own town limits! Some really cool things happened too like: Their first real high school opened in 1931 (!), their first major league baseball team made its debut against rival Grand Junction on May 12th 1932 ('32 GJ Mammoth vs.' '01 SJ Cardinals), they got their very own KFC restaurant back in 1957 ('57 KOHL'ers), they even hosted USA Hockey's World Junior Championship1978-'80(*). Today they are still going strong with pretty much everything under one roof thanks mainly to recent renovations done by Bob Larson (& his wife Betty)!

This led to a growth in population that reached 3,500 people by 1923. In 1948, Superior incorporated as an open-air mall with a population exceeding 6,000 people. In 1968, it became home to North America's first indoor theme park – Worlds Fair Park – which remains an important tourist attraction today. Today, Superior is a thriving community with excellent schools and businesses located throughout the town center.
