In 1996, Tim Ferriss founded his first café in town and began selling small batches of Italian Roast coffee. Over the years, other local businesses have followed suit and continue to sell small batches of top-quality coffee. The city's small batch history can be traced back to when two friends decided to start their own business together in 1995. José Andrés and Hector Ramos were both passionate about starting their own businesses and felt thatsmall batch Coffee was a perfect fit for their unique skillset. They quickly gained a following among locals for their delicious Ethiopian-Style roast coffee. Today, many local businesses continue to sell small batches of quality coffee from their roasts and grinds from our original locations in Town Center Plaza and The Cube on First Street. Superior is a small town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 537 at the 2010 census. The town is part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Superior has a Calvinist chapel, a library, and two churches: First Baptist Church and Second Presbyterian Church. The town is named after General George Armstrong Custer who was killed in 1885 during the Ulysses S. Grant Expedition to Oregon. Prior to this time, there was no such name for what is now Superior because the area that includes present-day Superior was occupied by the Arapaho people who were known as "the place where the buffalo roam". In 1886 white prospectors discovered coal and gold near present day Superior; these discoveries led to settlers moving into what would become Superior in 1887. Superior had its start as a small settlement on July 1, 1889 when seven men from Aurora set out from Aurora with wagonloads of supplies for what would become Colorado's first boomtown. They called their new community "Northumberland" after Northumberland County in England which they knew well because of their connections to that county's Lord Mayor Isaac Newton Beecher (1813-1892). Northumberland quickly became one of the most important towns in southwestern Colorado due to its location along Cache Creek which connected Durango and Silver Lake withDenver via an open prairie region rich in mineral rights. For many years it also served as an important transportation hub due to its close connection to Cache Creek Valley Road which ran through most of present day northwestern Weld County including parts of today's Park City and Rifle counties. In 1902 Northumberland's post office moved from Silver Lake eastward on Cache Creek Road (now Interstate 25) until it met up again at Broadway Boulevard east of downtown Denver; this new location allowed for better access to mail services throughout southwest Colorado thanks toDenver Postmaster Eli Lilly & Co.'s cable system which connected several outlying communities nearCache Creek Valley Road with downtown Denver wirelessly! Today Northumberland still functions as both its original post office and main shopping district though much less visibly than it did back then! Although not officially part of Denver–Aurora–Lakewood until 1907, Northumberland soon became one of those “inner Metro” areas defined by economic development within Greater Denver rather than outside thereof due largely to its strong ties with Aurora pharmacist Dr John Davenport (1868-1956) whose Pharmacy Company anchored Aurora’s Main Street for over eighty years before his death in 1937! Davenport’s influence can be seen even more clearly today as Commerce Square – located just east of I-25 between Iona Avenue and 15th Street – continues Flagstaff Building Corporation’s long history as one of downtown Aurora’s leading commercial entities dating back multiple decades! As business districts move away from central cities towards suburban or rural areas, Commerce Square will continue serve as an anchor around which other businesses clustered around it will grow over time! Priorities shifted somewhat during World War II when members of the military stationed nearby began production at various local arsenals such as Rocky Mountain Arsenal responsible for providing munitions used by both sides in Europe; however, most production stopped shortly afterward whenColorado became an all-American state! residential construction increased significantly following World War II especially since Boulder had become increasingly popular among servicemen stationed near Fort Collins while Camp Arvin remained operational nearby providing recreational opportunities for troops living off base! One result was that although Superior retains some historical buildings related directly thereto like Hilltop Schoolhouse (built 1911), Pioneer Ridge Recreation Center (built 1945), Golden Spike Hotel/Motel (opened 1951), Masonic Temple #1 (opened 1912), etc., much newer civic infrastructure has replaced them including our current courthouse complex built between 1984 and 1988!! Overall we can say that despite being largely dependent upon agriculture following World War II(particularly commodity farming based sector reliant on exports such as livestock ), Superior has rapidly transformed into a major city representing southeastern Weld County culturally speaking – something many may not have realized given that much attention remains focused on neighboringURBAN municipalities !!

It formed from the merger of two small towns on opposite sides of the mountain range: Superior and Gasquet. The name "Superior" comes from the Kiowa word "tsa-doh," meaning "top of the hill." The original settlers in these parts were Kit Carson's band of Americans who traveled up the mountains to prospect for coal and other minerals. When they arrived in 1868, they discovered a high mountain pass through which they could travel to Denver by horseback. They named their new settlement after a nearby peak, Superior Hill. Over time, people from other settlements began moving into Superior. In 1902, construction began on what would become Fort Collins' first shopping mall; it opened in 1905 and remains one of its most popular tourist destinations today. Other businesses that have been located in Superior over time include an auto dealership and a grocery store (now known as Supervalu). In more recent years, there has been growth in mixed-use development around Superior's main square – including a brewery and several restaurants – as well as new residential developments on both sides of Highway 287 near Interstate 25. Today, Superior is an important community with many cultural attractions and businesses that make it an attractive place to live and work. Its residents are proud residents who support their community through various activities such as volunteering or donating their time to local organizations such as the American Cancer Society or Boys & Girls Club of Central Colorado Springs.
The history of Superior, Colorado starts with the arrival of traders in the early 1800s. The first Europeans to visit this area were Frenchmen, who set up a fur trading post in 1825. The next year, another group of Frenchmen arrived and started a cattle ranch nearby. By 1830, these ranchers had renamed their post "Superior" after themselves. In 1859, the United States acquired land east of Denver from Mexico for $5 million dollars. This land was designated as part of what is now Boulder County and included parts of present-day Superior and Parker counties. In 1863, when Boulder County was created, Superior became part of it. In 1876, gold was discovered near Superior and soon settlers began arriving to find new land to farm. Mining operations began in the 1880s and by 1910 there were over 2,000 people living in Superior. Today, Superior is still an important town with a population of over 1,500 people and its economy is based on agriculture and commerce
