The department continued growing through World War II; by 1946 there were 21 officers assigned to Thielton Police Department while also expanding into new areas including north Boulder County and east Mesa County . In 1973, after more than 50 years of service as an effective law enforcement organization within its community, Thielton Police Department merged with neighboring Greenwood Village Police Department forming what is now known as the Larson Agency which still employs Officers from both departments today!
