Westminster is a town in Douglas County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,873 at the 2010 census. Westminster is part of the Greeley-Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area. Westminster is located on the western edge of Rocky Mountains National Park. The first settlers to Westminster were Andrew Jackson and his family who arrived in 1876. In 1892, an act was passed by the Colorado General Assembly that designated Westminster as the seat of government for Douglas County. On July 1, 1907, Westminster became a city when it was added to the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood Combined Statistical Area through an annexation by Aurora. The opening of Interstate 25 in 1938 increased traffic and led to economic development in downtown Westminster which has since been called "the business district". The history of Westminister dates back over 120 years and can be traced back to two small settlements: Deer Lodge and Arapaho Hill (now known as First Presbyterian Church). Deer Lodge had been established before any other settlement withinwestminster because it was where state officials resided during wintertime while they traveled between Fort Collins and Larimer City. Arapaho Hill was also established because it offered enough space for several families to live together without having to share a home with another family member or friend. When deer hunting season began in 1872, pioneer George Braswell decided he would do better if he hunted near Arapaho Hill instead of farther away from Deer Lodge due to its superior cover situation. He started hunting there every day until November 3rd when he notices a grizzly bear; this experience changed his life and motivated him to hunt big game more often throughout his lifetime! Eventually both Bowers Creek Settlement (now known as First Presbyterian Church) and Deer Lodge were abandoned due to lack of resources or hostile Indians who inhabited these areas at that time. It wasn't until 1840 that Wellington Cooley discovered gold near Arapaho Valley which led him decide to settle there permanently so he could start mining operations immediately! Nevertheless, many people continued living near Deer Lodge until finally abandoning it around 1870 due to harsh winters and inaccessible terrain outside their area which made farming impossible – though some individuals did manageTo farm there during those times! After years of research by various historians including myself I have determined that what we know about early westminister comes from oral history interviews conducted with residents who lived here during different periods in its history; however more research needsto be done into exactly when these interviews took place as well as what typeof questions were asked! There are also evidence left behind by farmers such as artifacts still present today like plows used during harvest time or postcards sent home from farms weeks/months later still showing picture dishes filled with food! This provides insight into how people lived back then even though all information currently available is circumstantial evidence only! Because our knowledge about early westminister comes primarily from oral history Interviews, museums have recently opened up inside Rocky Mountain National Park specifically designed for exploring this subject area; however more research needsto be done into exact locations & contents within these museums!!!

In 1907, an act of Congress passed authorizing the construction of railroad lines through Jefferson County made it possible for farmers to sell their products directly to consumers instead of having to go through brokers or merchants.
