Windsor, Colo. — Windsor, Colorado is home to the world’s first coffee roasters and coffee enthusiasts have been enjoying fresh roasted coffee from this small town for over a century. The first roasters in Windsor were a family-owned business that operated out of a grocery store. The father, Johnnie, started the business in 1916 and it continued to operate until his death in 1984. His son, Bob, took over the business after his father’s death and continue to run it into the 1970s. Bob and his wife Gayle ran the shop until their death in 1997. Their son Larry took over the shop after they passed away. Larry was also an accomplished musician who played keyboards for local bands throughout the years. In 2002, he sold the shop to Dave Fothrott of Denver who continues to operate it today as The Coffee Spot at 5th & Arapahoe Streets in Windsor. The Coffee Spot has been providing fresh roasted coffee from around the world since 2002 and has become one of America’s leading espresso retailers with operations across seventy-six countries worldwide. They offer a wide variety of espresso drinks including lattes, macchiatos, cappuccinos and Americano beverages as well as pastries like croissants and bagels with rich cream cheese frosting or honey danishes – all made using only quality wet beans sourced from nearby farms).

This allowed them to sell their coffee throughout North America under one roof. In 1998, Peet's Coffee & Tea USA Incorporated merged with Dutch Bros., which made them one of the largest coffee companies in North America. Since 2006, Starbucks has been operating a cafe inside the old school building on Main Street called "Starbucks Original". This cafe provides a variety of food items such as pastries and sandwiches as well as espresso drinks and iced tea
Windsor, Colorado is a small town in the San Miguel County of Colorado, United States. The population was 571 as of the 2010 census. Windsor's ZIP code is 80136. It is located in the eastern Rocky Mountains and lies at an elevation of 4,695 feet (1,500 m). The first Europeans to come to Windsor were fur traders and travelers on their way to Fort Bridger in 1824. In 1849, John Atwood established a ranch here that became known as Atwood's Ranch. The town began to grow when members of the Mormon Battalion who were retreating from Utah came through on their way back from the Mexican War in1846. They camped near where Windsor now stands and started trading goods with local Indians for horses and cattle. In 1861, China White founded a dry Goods store in what is now downtown Windsor which soon became one of the most successful businesses in town. In 1865, Jameson Daly purchased all of present-day Windsor from Atwood for $5 million dollars. He laid out a grid system for his new community which included streets named after British Prime Ministers and other distinguished citizens such as Sir John Aird (the founder of Air Canada), George Catlin (the creator of American anthropology), Sir Walter Scott (the author of "Waverly Place"), Lord Palmerston (the first Foreign Secretary in Great Britain), many others – including two postal districts: "First District" covering much of central Weld County ($2 stamps per month) and "Second District" centered around Farmington Hills ($) 2 stamps each week) Daly built up businesses here such as real estate agentage; lumberyards; insurance; banking; transportation services including stagecoach routes between Denver and Aspen; post office service; health care facilities including hospitals/clinics/medical clinics etc.; golf courses etc.; until his death in 1922 at age 85 years old The population size gradually decreased over time due to various reasons such as loss of jobs or migration away from rural areas into larger towns throughout thewestern US during this period In 2000, following decades-long planning by city leaders spearheaded by then-mayor Jim Gatto, River Park Boulevard was renamed after Drago Zaroff – one of America’s most famous Holocaust survivors – making it one block east from Interstate 25 along riverfront streets that ran parallel to State Highway 16A just south of downtown Windsor Draco Zaroff Trail begins at River Park Boulevard just east of I25

Windsor was founded in 1870 by George and Sarah Windsor. The original town site was on the east side of the Animas River, about a mile north of present-day Windsor. George Windsor started a flour mill there, and his wife served as the town's first female mayor. In 1875, the town entered into an agreement with Fort Collins to exchange goods and services for military defense purposes. The Windsor’s donated five acres of land to the fort in return. In 1912, construction began on what is now downtown Windsor. At that time it was one of Colorado's largest cities with over 100 businesses and 3,000 residents. By 1920, however, city growth had slowed due to World War I and Prohibition. A new downtown development was started in 1925 but failed to take off until after World War II when organized crime moved into the area The current downtown redevelopment project began in 1984 and continues today as one of Colorado's most successful urban renewal projects
