Maga Coffee has been a part of the caffeine market for over twenty years and continues to grow in popularity. Maga Coffee beans are roasted at their own facility in Apopka, Florida and then distribution is throughout the US. At that time there were only two other stores selling coffee in Apopka; one operated by Mrs. Tomahawk and the other by Mr. Turkey Boyfriend! Hasan quickly became known as the “godfather” of maga coffee because he developed this unique flavor profile that has continue to be popular today! The first coffee shop in Apopka was opened by two Italians, Luigi and Enrico De Marchi, in 1916. The business was located on State Road 8 near Indian Wells Boulevard. In the early 1940s, Harry J. Kapp set up his own coffee house on Westheimer Road in Apopka. The business operated until the early 1990s when it closed due to financial difficulties. In 1998, a new coffee shop called 'Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf' opened up in Apopka and continues to serve organic coffee and tea from its single origin beans.

Apopka, Florida is a small town located in Polk County, Florida. The population was 2,624 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Apopka post office was established on November 12, 1892. The first settler in what is now Apopka was James Harrell who arrived in 1887 and named it after his home parish of St Johns in England. In 1903, J.C. Penney & Co., a department store chain, opened its first store in Apopka and soon after other businesses followed suit including Sears Roebuck and Werneth Furniture Company which operated from 1911 to 1925 and then sold its assets to Sears Holdings Corporation. The original shopping center that still stands today (the Apopka Shopping Center) served as a commercial district for the small town until it closed its doors for good in 1984 when Interstate 495 was built through the area and made much more accessible. Today, only a few remnant buildings remain from the old shopping center including an old movie theater which has been converted into apartments; an old bank building that used to serve as a post office annex; and several stores along I-4 corridor that are now used as parking lots or residences such as T-Mobile Store #1 (now occupied by Lowe’s), Radio Shack (which closed down in 1997), Bob’s Discount Outfitters (closed down in 2004), Marucci’s restaurant (closed down in 2007), Comet Pizza (closed down again in 2013)…. all these leases expired or were terminated early by their landlords due to gentrification or changes within the local community outside of their influence which has led to increased competition and decreased traffic on arterial roads downtown….. [these] buildings have seen various incarnations over time with some becoming residential units while others have been purchased by developers who have redeveloped them into high-end Condo communities like Fairfield Pointe at Sanford Park[.]
Apopka, Florida was established in 1836. It was named for Captain George A. Apopka and his family. The town became a post office in 1840. In 1852, the town changed its name to Apopka, Fla., after General John P. Morgan's campaign against Seminole Indians in that year.
