A second store was opened in 1987 by Donny Meyers and his wife Dee Dee. They ran out of space so they moved to 5th Avenue SW and Naugatuck Road. In 1990, Donny's daughter Tammy started purchasing coffee from the Kapps' store and reopened it as a small batch coffee house called The Beanspot. It is still open today with seating for 12 people inside and an outdoor patio for dining. In 1992, Jerry Godwin opened his own store at 6th Avenue SW & Naugatuck Road. He bought the beans from Donny Meyers' store and changed the name to Godwin's Coffee House Incorporated. In 1995, he sold his business to Rick Robillard who ran it until 2001 when he closed it down due to financial troubles. In 2006, Jeff Lutzopened his own smallbatch coffee house at 8th Ave SW & Naugatuck Rd which continues to operate today with seating for 10 people inside and an outdoor patio for dining

Atlantic Beach, Florida is a small town located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The population was 4,898 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area. Atlantic Beach is known for its white sand beaches and its history as an important settlement on the shipping route between Havana and Tampa. The first permanent settler in what would become Atlantic Beach was George Washington Harris who came overland from Georgia in 1795. He named his new land "Isla de la Bahía" after his father's homeland of Ireland. In 1801, Captain John Steedman arrived with his ship Thetis here to found a trading post called Fort Myers which he renamed "Fort Lauderdale". In 1826, Joshua Dixon landed here with HMS Beagle and named it "Atlantic Beach" after the open ocean off England's coast where he sighted American ships on their way to market. A year later, November 29th saw the establishment of a post office at Atlantic Beach by Lieutenant Samuel Prentice with mail service coming from Havana via stops at Fort Myers and Key West. By 1830, there were nine post offices in Broward County - five in Miami-Dade and four each in Palm beach (Lauderdale), Miramar (Delray Beach), Miami Gardens (Kendrell Park) and North Kendall (Ft Lauderdale). In 1833, James Ewing purchased 1/2 mile of beachfront property adjacent to present day Broadway Avenue from Colonel Wm Harnish for $1 million dollars (). He subdivided this land into lots and built two summer homes - one called Biscayne Bay which stood until 1912 when it was destroyed by fire; while also constructing what is now known as The Ewing House - now a hotel within walking distance of both Biscayne Bayand The Ewing House lot . Drifting sand caused extensive damage to these homes during Hurricane Andrew which struck on August 25th 1992 but no loss appeared on insurance reports until almost 20 years later when Anthony Bucci discovered an article about that event published by Gannett Co., Incorporated () Bucci contacted Gannett reporters who then reached out to Jerald O'Connell (), then owner of Sun Sentinel Publications (), who arranged for them to interview him about that storm .. O'Connell told them that he had been investigating potential rebuilds for some time because much needed repairs were not being made due to lack of funds (). Bucci's story caught the attention of then-Broward County Commissioner Kenneth Blackwell ()who offered him ownership of Sunrise Boulevard east of State Road 892 (), just south of where today'shandle stands (). Bucci accepted this offer but died before making any changes (). After Bucci's death,,the option passed down through family membersto make any major alterations or repairs rather than sell rights back () finally becoming part OfSunrise Boulevard LLCTampa Bay Limited Partnership
