Bonita Springs, Florida is a small town located in Osceola County, Florida. The population was 2,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando-Kissimmee-Daytona Beach, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community began as an agricultural settlement in 1882. After being occupied by Seminoles for several years, settlers named the village "Bonita" after the Spanish word "bona" which means "happy." In 1898, a post office was established in Bonita Springs and remained in operation until 1959. The first major development in Bonita Springs took place during World War II when many GIs came to work on army facilities and fishing ports around the area. The town quickly became one of the most popular tourist destinations in Osceola County due to its relax feel combined with its beautiful landscape and wide variety of activities available. In recent years, Bonita Springs has seen growth as a bedroom community for nearby Orlando and Daytona Beach. As more people move into central Florida we can expect more businesses and residences to open up here - making it one of busiest areas for shopping in southeastern Florida!

One of the most famous deployments of air force gift history is Operation Neptune's Spear, which was conducted during World War II in support of the Allied war effort. On December 7, 1941, Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii – resulting in the death of more than 2,000 American military personnel and civilians. This attack represented a watershed moment for US strategy and technology and set the stage for an intense battle against Japan that would last three years. In response to this disastrous event, President Franklin D. Roosevelt ordered the USAAF to send large shipments of aircraft and tanks directly to Japanese forces onshore in order to provide essential support during what became known as The Battle of Midway. Unfortunately, these delivery attempts were unsuccessful due to bad weather conditions on July 4th and 5th 1942 – leading Roosevelt to call on General Carl Spaatz, commanderoftheairforcetosenda bomber squadronforthePacific theaterinordertocontribute tobelievethatAmericawaswinningthewar.(Spaatz laterstatedthatwithoutthismessageFIGHTERWOULDNOT HAVE BEEN CONVINcedtobealthealtitudeofthemission). Bonita Springs is a small town located in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa-St Petersburg-Clearwater metropolitan area. The community was founded by Don Armstrong in 1892 as a summer resort for farmers and their families. Bonita Springs became an incorporated city in 1905. The community is named after Spanish explorer and naturalist Francisco Pizarro, who visited the area in 1605. A post office called "Bona Fortuna" was established at Bonita Springs on October 14, 1892, and remained in operation until it was discontinued on December 15, 1912. Don Armstrong developed the community primarily to provide a summer home for his family and friends; however, he also built several businesses there including the grocery store that still exists today, Armstrong's Garage (now an auto parts store), and Armstrong's Lumber Company. In 1905, City Council decided to annex neighboring towns of Hialeah Beach and Fort Pierce because they were growing rapidly without corresponding growth within Bonita Springs itself. In 1916 local boys from nearby Spring Hill school system played football together on Government Road while their parents watched; this led to what is now known as "The Game of Roses", which has been held annually in November since then to commemorate that event. In 1922 Dr John Withers opened what remains today one of the most famous medical practices in America – Dr Withers Pediatrics – at 309 EAST STREET in Bonita Springs; this practice eventually became affiliated with Children's Hospital Los Angeles where its leaders pioneered innovative surgery techniques such as total ligation/cervical cancer removal etc., later becoming head of pediatric division at CHLA before retiring in 2006 aged 94 years old! Dr Withers' legacy lives on through his daughter Lisa Withers who currently leads pediatric care for Children's Hospital Los Angeles - one of only a handful hundred Pediatric hospitals worldwide with full primary care services for all ages! Bonita Springs experienced significant growth during World War II due to its strategic location along I-75 between Tampa Bay and Jacksonville – being just minutes away from both major military bases providing ample supply points for troops fighting overseas while also offering access to many recreational activities such as fishing tournaments or Air Force Base formal events such as dances given by senior officers.. As war turned sour following Pearl Harbor bonitasprings residents came out into public streets wearing patchouli powder to show support for American troops stationed there .. One notable resident during World War II was Colonel Harry S Truman who resided briefly at 514 Clearwater Ave when he served as Commander of Army Forces Europe
