In 1936, Don Gaskin purchased an 8-gauge pump action shotguns from Eberhart & Sons Shotgun Shoppe in Jacksonville, Florida for use at skeet and duck shoots conducted on property owned by Mr. Gaskin near Clearwater Beach on Jupiter Island. At this time, there were no hotel rooms available for shooting purposes and members had to drive miles to participate in events such as these! The guns continued to be used at various events until Mr. Gaskin sold them (along with his other firearms) to James Averill of Tampa, Florida in 1951 for $1,500 cash! Bonita Springs, Florida is a small town located in Polk County, Florida. The population was 5,200 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. Bonita Springs was founded in 1892 by J.C. Hargrave and his family. The first post office was established in 1902. In 1916, the name of the town was changed to Bonita Springs after Mrs. Isabel Bonita (1863-1935), who had served as a state senator from nearby Clearwater and chaired the State Committee on Women's Affairs. The area now known as Bonita Springs became a center for citrus production when citrus trees were introduced into the area in 1913 by Captain Fenton Weems of Tampa Bay Airways Corporation (now Tampa Air Lines). The Weems Brothers company operated two lemon plantations in bonitaspring until 1934, when they sold their holdings to Eastern Citrus Growers Company Inc., which continued to operate them until 1949 when they were merged with United Fruit Company’s Orange county plantation holdings to form USF Holdings Incorporated . After World War II, many new housing developments were built on large tracts of land east of downtown and along Ponce de Leon Boulevard that had been donated or leased by various companies including USF Holdings Incorporated . Today much of these original development remains although some has been replaced by newer buildings or updated with more special features such as underground parking garages In recent yearsBonita Springs has experienced growth due to its location close to Interstate 495 and other major roads allowing easy access both inside and outside the city limits Additionally it has become home to numerous high-profile businesses including Mastercard International Headquarters LLC (formerly Visa USA) as well as American Express Co., Coca ColaCola Refining & Trading Company LLC, LyondellBasell Industries plc., McKesson National Security Health Care Solutions LLP and Samsung Electronics America, Inc..
