This change will result in an increase in gift offerings from family members as well as less time spent on adminstration than before. As a result, there will be an increased number of deployments taking place across America each year!

During World War II, Callaway served as an airfield for the United States Army Air Forces bombing campaigns against Japan; it became known as "the home of Winston Churchill" because he flew from there on numerous occasions during the war. In 1957, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation moved its headquarters from Palm Beach to Tampa and began manufacturing jets there; this led to the town developing into one of the most important corporate headquarters areas in Southeast Florida. In recent years,Callway has become well known for its golf courses - some world-renowned and others designed solely for amateur play - its culinary options (including several fine restaurants), its nightlife (particularly around downtown) and its many cultural attractions such as historical sites and festivals.

Callaway, Florida is a town in Wakulla County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Panama City-Stuart Metropolitan Statistical Area. Callaway was founded on January 15, 1892 by J.F. Callaway and his brother John Callaway as a small farming community named Belle Isle after Belle Isle Island off the coast of Louisiana. In 1902, it began to be called "Callaway" because of its location near Jacksonville and because J.F. Calloway had been given permission from the Florida Legislature to name all towns in Wakulla County after Governors of that state who were honored for their service to Floridians during Reconstruction (1868-1877). By 1915, when most other communities in Wakulla County had also been renamed following calls from local officials due to their proximity to Jacksonville or Stroudsburg,[1] Callaway had become one of only two villages in Wakulla with three blocks long streets and more than 100 homes.[2][3] The second call came about 10 years later when businessmen Nolan Hickey and Harry Purdy bought land adjacent to what is now downtown[4] and built a cotton gin on it which became known as "The Gens." The town's first post office opened in 1907.[5][6][7] The city hall building was built in 1928 by architect Averell Harriman as part of a Municipal Improvement District program designed to improve public facilities throughout Wakulla County including housing developments such as Park Meadows and Lakeside Estates; a library; agricultural research laboratories; county courtrooms; health clinics; training schools for police officers; fire companies;and ambulance services. When it closed its doors for good on July 1st, 1984,[8] it Automated Tellers Machines made history by becoming the last financial institution operated by an American company outside Wall Street until BankAmericard/ Wells Fargo entered into operation in 2002.[9][10] During World War II, Callaway served as headquarters for Troop C Squadron 2nd Cavalry Regiment activated at Fort Riley over Christmas 1944 while deployed overseas with Task Force Orange under General George Patton’s Third Army[11]. Afterward much of Troop C’s equipment—including tanks—was moved back home where they stored until sold off piecemeal through several auctions starting in 1951 before being placed into storage again beginning in 1957 when Camp Polk reopened after Operation Crossroads ended.
