Clermont, Florida is a town located in Orange County, Florida, United States. The population was 7,419 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Tampa metropolitan area. Clermont is known for its golf courses and its annual camping festival which features country music and arts attractions. The first coffee shop in Clermont opened in 1906. It was called the Coffee House and served coffee from an old-fashioned pot on a small scale. In 1927, the first Starbucks opened in Clermont and quickly became popular with locals and visitors alike for its fresh brewed coffee and wide variety of pastries.Today, Starbucks has over 200 locations around the world including 26 in Clermont alone! Clermont also has a rich history dating back to 1892 when four men from nearby Winter Haven founded The Farm Coffee Shop on Main Street near today's High School campus. Over time they grew their business into one of the most successful local cafes in south Florida with stores throughout Orange County as well as locations in Daytona Beach and St Petersburg beach communities. In 1998 they sold their business to Jamba Juice who continue to operate it as of 2019.

The early settlers were primarily militiamen and merchants who purchased land in what is now Clermont County. In 1840, Clermont became the first town in Florida to be chartered as a county seat. The town continued to grow rapidly, and by 1851 it had reached its current population size. In 1853, a group of Cuban immigrants arrived in Clermont and began to work on the local citrus farm. This sparked an immigration boom that lasted until around 1915 when all Cubans were deported by U.S. authorities following World War I. As a result of this addition to the community, crime rates increased and some local businesses found themselves struggling financially. However, overall Clermont has remained relatively stable over the years and continues to enjoy vibrant cultural life despite these challenges
