In 1952, the town added a school and post office to its roster. Today, Coconut Creek has a population of over 10,000 people and it is one of the most diverse communities in Pinellas County. The history of Coconut Creek begins with its location on the gulf shoreline. When Europeans first came to this area they were amazed at how richly developed this part of Florida was for such a small community: There were markets outside every major settlement and cocoa beans were being exported from nearby Key West! As time passed though and new technology arrived in Puerto Rico (the island where much later Cypress Plantation would be founded), coconut farming began to take off here as well. By 1830 coconuts had become so valuable that wealthy landowners began investing in their production! By 1907 Coconut Creek had two churches – St John’s Episcopal Church & First Baptist Church – both built on land donated by Mr Dobbs himself! The early years were difficult for coconut farmers due to lack of acreage and disease but with improvement in farming techniques, yields increased drastically! In 1932 James A Lennon opened Lennon’s Sales Store which quickly became one of the most popular tourist attractions in town! The store continued operations until 1984 when it closed its doors forever after serving locals and visitors alike for more than sixty years! Today you can still find relics from Lennon’s days including items like his personal settee which he used during sales meetings! As America drifted into World War II many families chose not to leave their homes behind but face danger head-on; instead they took up residence along Ft Myers Beachfront where they could monitor United States Naval activity from safe distance! This decision paid off as residents helped secure victory over Japan in 1945 while also helping keep civilian morale high; today some 350 dating back to 1942 are documented at Ft Myers Beachfront Museum!. Afterward life returned to normalcy as many businesses reopened along with homebuilding becoming more commonplace; today nearly all streets leading into downtown have been pedestrianized making it easy for everyone to get around without having too much trouble finding parking or facilities available!! When did things change again? From 1960-1970 Workmen's Compensation laws changed meaning that workers no longer needed health insurance if they lost their job!!! This caused chaos as many businesses rescinded contracts with employees; now business owners must decide whether or not To reopen under these circumstances!!!
