The history of artisan coffee in Coconut Creek, Florida goes back to the early 1800s. Coffee was first brought to the area by Spanish traders and settlers. Coffee beans were grown on plantations in the region and later exported to Spain, England, and other parts of Europe. In the 1920s, Dutch immigrants started a coffee plantation in Coconut Creek. The Dutch name for this plantation was "Het Koffiehuis." After World War II, many farmers in the region began growing coffee for themselves rather than selling it to merchants. In 1957, a small grocery store called The Grapes opened up in Coconut Creek and began selling artisans' coffee. This store is still open today and sells more than just cup of Joe.

In 1906, the city of Coral Gables was established in nearby Broward County and quickly grew to become one of South Florida's most populous cities by 1910. After World War I, coconut plantation owners abandoned their properties in Coconut Creek due to lack of available land and competition from other citrusgrowing areas in South Florida. However, many businesses continued to operate until after World War II when they were replaced by new manufacturers based out of Miami or Tampa Bay. In 1957, Coconut Creek became part of separatebroward county and continues to be an unincorporated community within that county today

Coconut Creek is a small town in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area. Coconut Creek is located on the mouth of the Manatee River, about 12 miles (19 km) north-northwest of downtown Miami. Coconut Creek was founded in 1892 by English colonists as Fort Brooke and became an incorporated city in 1924. In 1912, Coconut Creek changed its name to Fort Lauderdale after being annexed by Miami from Broward County. The town's history can be traced back to 1892 when English colonists set up a post near what is now known as Coconut Creek Boulevard and State Road 710 outside of modern-day Fort Lauderdale. The British colony was established to protect shipping routes through the area and provide military support against Seminole Indians who were poaching salt water crocodiles in nearby South Florida. The post eventually grew into a permanent settlement with over 100 residents and grew crops such as cotton and sugarcane for local consumption before becoming an American military base during World War I. After America entered World War II,Fort Brooke became home to both U S Marine Corps Air Station Miramar (now Joint Base Marjory Stoneman Douglas) and Naval Air Station Hollywood (now Naval Surface Warfare Center). As fortifications increased around Miramar/Hollywood during that war, Fort Brooke's landward boundaries gradually shifted eastward until it reached almost contemporary Coral Gables along Biscayne Boulevard just south of Sunrise Highway/State Road 95A today’s US 1 corridor between Ft Lauderdale Beach and Homestead Airport while most of its original buildings still stand within our community today including portions of City Hall which sat onsite from 1924 until 1974 when it moved into new facilities across Biscayne Boulevard from current day University Park Drive although some remain standing within our Community currently used for various municipal functions like Police headquarters which are also remnants from this time period while building efforts have recently commenced upon their relocation inside current day City Hall property currently under construction on site recent news reports show that this project may finally become reality once all necessary permits have been obtained however as yet no date has been set for completion or announcement though we will keep you updated should any relevant information arise

Coconut Creek became an important center for boating and fishing during the early 20th century, and its lakes and rivers were used for swimming, fishing, and pleasure hunting. In 1937, Coconut Creek became part of Broward County; however, its status as a county seat did not last long. In 1968, Coconut Creek was incorporated as a city; its growth continued until the early 21st century when it lost its status as a municipality. Today Coconut Creek is a bedroom community with almost 12,000 residents; it is home to many major corporations such as Facebook (FB), Google (GOOGL), Amazon (AMZN), Sears Holdings Corporation (SHLD), Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAC)and Johnson & Johnson JNJ).
