The history of the Air Force stationed in Coral Springs, Florida dates back to World War II. The United States Air Force was established on December 12, 1941 under the jurisdiction of the National Security Act of 1947. At that time, the Department of Defense consisted of three branches: military, naval and air forces. The Air Force was one element within this larger structure. On February 14, 1948, a Joint Chiefs Plan for USAF organization was issued which recommended that an AF unit be stationed in Coral Springs as part of a reorganization plan for the DoD. This recommendation was accepted by President Harry Truman and Great Lakes Command Commander Admiral James Stockdale on March 2nd. On May 5th, 1948 General Weyland announced that AF units would be moved from Miami to Coral Springs effective July 1st following the Korean War ceasefire announcement. The first enlisted aircraft carrier pilot from Sun Prairie AFB arrived at Sun Prairie on July 1st and began operations against North Korea two days later with Lieutenant Colonel John Pritzker flying his P-51 Mustang from there into action. In 1951 a new command center (later known as Headquarters Squadron) was constructed at Sun Prairie AFB with funding provided by appropriations Acts through both Houses of Congress until it closed in 1957 due to budgetary cuts made during Eisenhower’s presidency. One significant event took place during this time frame when Lt Colonel John Pritzker became First Lieutenant Governor Cecil Blythe’s Deputy Chief-of Staff for Plans and Programs when Governor Blythe resigned to become Mayoralty Candidate in Los Angeles County after being denied service as a delegate to take part in then successful presidential election campaign spearheaded by Vice President Richard Nixon In 1957 Headquarters Squadron relocated again when they were transferred from Sun Prairie AFB to White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). Here they continued operations until their closure on November 3rd 1977 due to budget issues once again exacerbated because of Ike’s Great Society programs which had been enacted since taking office AF Unit #1 at Coral Springs activated on October 17th 1953 under the command first lieutenant colonel Robert Dickey who served concurrently with Major General Henson who commanded IFFB until he retired in 1969 . From here Lieutenant Colonel Dickey operated A-4 Skyhawks primary Aircraft flown by Eltchilton Flying Training squadron while also providing training support for squadrons equipped with F-86 Sabres or F-100 Super Sabres . He also served as Director Of Aerial Intelligence And Surveillance for USAF Central Command during its combat deployments including Operation Neptune Spear Lt Col Dickey’s last assignment before his retirement was commanding continuity squadron at Offutt AFB KS where he served until his death on August 25th 1990 after many years distinguished service with USAAF Units located throughout America As mentioned previously, Air Force Forces stationed outside Continental United States initially consisted only of RAF planes based overseas while services were organized homelandwise via ground troops/units assigned thereto such as artillery battalions etc…. However beginning immediately following Pearl Harbor American service men began capabilities increased thru enlistment intoAAF reserve units called “Air National Guard”…. By early 1945 these units numbered over five thousand men….. Because activation procedures were different each unit received its own wings or groups thereof plus Detachment(?) personnel……… Inactivated major commands/departments were reactivated along side newly activated commands/departments making use not only old formations but also new equipment and pilots available…." Withdrawal of U S Army forces from Europe after WWII led quickly to establishmentof AF unitatVero Beach FLonward .....However no real change occurredtoward military aviationbecause Dept.(sic)gov still possessed all rights & privileges pertaining towithout any proper HQ et al.....Airforce did not actually leave Floridauntil late 1951 when HQSATF movedtoCoralSprings .......After 9/11 we saw anew airman branch formed&given more power......Today'sAirmeninFLareningfurthergrowthalongwithnewtechincestructures.......USAF has several dozen missionsworldwide.....Only problem is muchoftheafghanistanoperationstillrequirespilotsfrom abroad ................."

Coral Springs, Florida is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida. The population was 27,792 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Miami-Dade metropolitan area. The name "Coral Springs" was derived from the color of coral reefs found near the town center. The first record of Coral Springs being mentioned in writing was in 1892 when J.P. Morgan sent a letter to his brother saying that he had seen "a beautiful spot on the mainland about 25 miles from here where water comes in contact with coral reefs." In 1899, Dr. John Sutter established what is now called Sutter's Fort and began to cultivate citrus fruit trees there. By 1902, he had built a small mill which became known as Sutter's Mill No. 1 after him and his son John H., Sr.. In 1907, Dr. John Sutter moved operations to Coral Gables and named it Coral Gables after his wife's family home located on Long Key Island off Biscayne Bayou (now Sawgrass Lake). In 1912, Dr. Samuel Ziegler bought considerable acreage around Marco Island for development into Coconut Grove which included much of present-day Coral Gables along with other towns such as Weston and Belleair beachfront communities annexed during annexation waves between 1915 and 1925 by Everglades City proper; these acquisitions led to calls for an independent municipality within Everglades City limits but no action occurred until 1928 when then Mayor James Weldon Hammond proposed to create an incorporated city within the bounds of what is now Coral Gables Township under the name of "Coral Springs". The first election held under this new name took place on November 2nd 1929 with Averell Harriman as Mayor followed by Mrs Helen Rice as Vice Mayor resulted in a two-thirds majority over all other candidates against incorporation into Everglades City proper despite their wishes due largely to financial limitations placed upon them by then Controller Claude Pepper who felt that they were not meeting necessary requirements for incorporation including having their own jail/fire brigade/police department/water supply etc.; ultimately incorporation took place on December 16th 1931 becoming Coral Springs Borough with its seat at 2400 West Broward Boulevard although some aspects such as police services (which were provided by then Sergeant Harry Greenwood) continued to be operated separately through evergreen fire truck company #1 until 1935 when those functions were transferred back to Police Department headquarters located at 1400 South Miami Avenue following consolidation of Broward Sheriff's Office precincts into one major command structure pursuant to Law Enforcement Director Arthur Silberman's recommendation effective January 1st 1935 providing for centralized control over all law enforcement activities throughout southern Miami-Dade County having been previously conducted via district offices located at Indian Bend Park (northwest corner of Biscayne Boulevard & Northwest Seventh Street) prior to that date; concurrently with this move away from district office operation many individual officer positions were also eliminated or converted over time including Patrolmen’s Sergeants Bureau #2 which functions currently as Homicide Squad Headquarters; finally effective March 15th 1945 both Fire Marshal’s OFFices relocated from northwest corner of Biscayne Boulevard & Northwest Seventh Street within Municipal Building complex(renamed “Municipal Tower” since late 1940s), concurrent with this changeover all emergency service facilities associated with Police Department were consolidated herein including ambulance service originally provided by Southern Electric Company thru contract through agency relationship while extensions continue today via Auxiliary Ambulance Unit based out of Plantation Heights Homeowners Association property adjacent thereto) makingCorralSpringsFloridaoneofthemostswoopercommunityinSouthMiamiDadeCounty

Coral Springs, Florida is a city in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area. The name "Coral Springs" is taken from Spanish "Canal de Coral" meaning "Canal of Coral". The creek that flows through Coral Springs was first named Caloosahatchee Creek by American Indians and means Clearwater Creek. In 1875, Dr. John Smeaton moved to Coral Springs from Key West and started a hospital called the Sacred Heart Hospital which became one of the largest in America. He also founded Stonington School District #1 in 1888 which has since been merged into Palm Beach County Schools. In 1923, Dr. Jens Ludwig (1868-1951) opened his home on SW 152nd Street as a medical office for patients who could not afford care at other hospitals or clinics near them due to lack of space or money. Dr Ludwig offered free medical care to anyone living within a five-mile radius of his home until he retired in 1951. Today, many people visit Drs Ludwig's office for massages or acupuncture treatments during their lunchtime hours; they are open every day except Tuesdays and Thursdays because he does surgery then! After World War II, many jobs were created in SouthFlorida due to military industrialization including shipbuilding and aircraft manufacturing which contributed to growth in SouthFlorida's economy over the next several decades while also creating environmental problems such as oil spills that have resulted in public outcry against these industries ever since
