On July 1, 2003, Captain Bill Cusick became the new Officer in Charge of the Coral Springs Police Department. The City of Coral Springs adopted a resolution recognizing October 9, 2003 as Officer Bill Cusick's birthday and appointed him honorary member of the force on October 9th. On November 3rd, 2004 Officer Cusick was named Commander of the Police Division within the Special Operations Bureau where he oversees all law enforcement activity outside regular patrols within our city limits (This includes both SWAT team deployments as well as narcotics operations). On November 5th 2009 Officer Cusick announced his retirement effective at 4pm that day after 41 years with us! We wish him all the best during his retirement process!
