Crestview, Florida is located in Southeast Florida and has been a coffee community since the early 1800s. The first coffee crop was grown in this area by Spanish colonists who brought their seed plants back with them when they left Mexico. Coffee beans were roasted and ground here until the early 1900s, when a group of entrepreneurs bought the business and began to roast their own beans. In 1957, Crestview became an incorporated town, making it one of the first towns in Florida to do so.

It is part of the Tampa–St Petersburg Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1907 by J.P. Ladd and his family as a agricultural community on the site of their previous farm, "Ladd's Landing". In 1912, Ladd donated land to create Crestview High School which became one of the largest high schools in Florida then or now. After years of progress made by school administrators and trustees, it closed its doors in 1957 due to budget cuts that were made during a time when other local schools were becoming obsolete due to new technology and changes in educational funding formulas across America. In 1969, Crestview voters approved an ordinance allowing for development along First Street which would include shopping malls, office towers and homes for up to 100 people per acre (39 hectares). The idea behind this plan was that Crestview could become a suburb surrounding an urban center with services such as hospitals and libraries close at hand while still maintaining its rural feel. This plan never came to be because of financial problems experienced by developers who were unable or unwilling to build near-urban conditions; instead they constructed developments such as Bay Pointe Shopping Center which has since been replaced by nearby Pinellas Park mall. While many aspects have changed over time - from what type of housing was available until recently (Homespun/boxy structures), there are also some constants that remain such as the strong sense of community identity fostered through events like carnivals and parade days throughout the year; music concerts held at venues like Joe's Pub or Daisy Dukes; etc.. Crestview, Florida is a small town in Monroe County, Florida, United States. It was founded in 1868 by two brothers, John and James Crestview. The town grew rapidly after the opening of a railroad in 1876. In 1911, Crestview became an incorporated municipality with a population of 333. The population decreased to 235 in 1920 and to 167 in 1930. However, the area's growth and development has been consistent throughout its history. In 1933, Crestview became one of the first towns in the state of Florida to be granted rights-of-way for Phase I of the Floridian Railway Company's line from Jacksonville to Sanford. This new line would provide more jobs for locals and increase tourism for the area. After World War II ended, Crestview experienced continued growth as dozens of companies moved into the town including Alcan Aluminum Company (now Alcoa), Jiffy Lube Service Station, Gulfstream Airlines Flight School and Chrysler Corporation's Plant No. 1 (now Jeep) which built Jeeps for military service during World War II. The postwar years were tough for many communities in Monroe County as the economy slowly improved but Crestview did not experience any major problems or economic slump like other rural towns around Monroe County during that time period. Many people attribute this to John and James CrestVIEW who ran their business with prudence and were always looking out for their community's future even if it meant they had to sacrifice some short-term profits at times Today, Crestview is still growing quickly with numerous new businessesopening up each year such as health spa resorts (such as Sun Venture Resort), golf courses (such as Heritage GC), professional sports teams such as American Legion baseball & basketball team (the Patriots) and more!
Crestview was a small town in the Miami-Dade area of Florida, founded in 1922 by some of the own from nearby Kendallville. Crestview was known for its white picket fences and many dairy cows which were milked by hand. The town went through various changes over the years, including becoming an all-black township in 1965 and then a majority Hispanic community in 1990.
