Wills renamed it Crestview Manor after his home country, Italy, which he had visited while living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1923 Dr. Harry Fenton purchased Crestview Manor from Wills and began renovations which included adding an indoor swimming pool, tennis court and gymnasium. Crestview is a small town located in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa–St Petersburg–Clearwater metropolitan area. The name Crestview may have originated from Spanish settlers who named it "Churrascos" after their cattle ranch in nearby Churrascosa Mountains. In 1892, local entrepreneur James Hickey set up a gristmill on the west side of town and began processing wheat and other grains into flour and feed for his animals. By 1907, Crestview had a post office, school, Masonic Lodge No. 5 (now defunct), two churches (Lutheran and Baptist), one hotel (the Highland Hotel), three grain elevators, four blacksmith shops, five stores (Grocery store; Hardware store; Agricultural store; Bank; Restaurant), two banks (First National Bank and Mellon Bank) and one telephone company. In 1915-16 when the railroad bypassed Crestview due to track construction east of town - only six years after its incorporation - many residents left for new homes in more accessible communities like Dunedin or St Petersburg. However soon thereafter various businesses were established around downtown including several restaurants which continue to operate today as branch stores of larger grocery chains like Kroger or Safeway
