When the Homestead Act was passed in 1862, it provided a way for American citizens to own land in Florida. This allowed for settlers to come and create a new life on what was then known as the “Land of Miami”. The first gun that was ever owned by an American resident in Davie came from Colonel John C. H KPUSA in 1876. At that time there were just a few shotguns and handguns available for purchase and sale, but this soon changed with the arrival of the Ulysses S. Grant Gun Club in Davie in 1887 which made firearms available to all residents of Davie County. Throughout its history, the Davie Gun Club has been one of the most important organizations in keeping our community safe with its members being able to provide access to shotguns, pistols, rifles and even machineguns! In 1954, they became part of the Florida Rifle Association (FRA), which is now called NRA-FL. Today, membership is open to anyone who wants to join and contribute their knowledge and skills towards ensuring our community remains safe!

And now factor in her transportation budget!!! This whole ordeal could easily total up $200+!! So why didn’t we think ahead and get her car with ALL OF THE OPTIONS INCLUDING PARKING SPOTS/AIR CONDITIONING?!?!????? This seems like such small potatoes until you factor in all those other expenses…..And here’s another easy question- who pays for these cars anyways!? Typically parents end up footing most of this bill especially when their children go off into their own world unprepared for driving 🙂 Now think about your loved ones spending habits! Are they always going shopping with us on family trips OR do they mainly head home from work/school with only quick errands done ON THE DAY THEY ARE VISITING US???? Do any of us ever take time away from our families specifically because WE WANT TO SEND OUR LOVED ONE SOME NEW GEAR????? If so HOW LONG WILL THAT LAST ??? Will THEY BE ABLE TO USE IT AGAIN SOON OR WILL THE COST OF REPLACEMENTS STICK WITH US FOR EVER!!!!!?? What happens when those same funds go towards tools that don't actually help us productivity related tasks but instead just buy ourselves more days off work??????????? Allocate wisely!!!! Our wallets will thank us soon enough 😉
The history of guns in Davie, Florida begins with the early days of hunting. Guns were used to hunt game and protect settlers from Native Americans. In 1827, a group of men named Davie bought a rifle from Captain John Smith. They began practicing law with it and gradually realized that they could use the weapon to defend themselves against attack. In 1851, they formed their own company and began selling rifles to the public. Over time, gun ownership became more common in Davie and other parts of Florida.

The City Beautiful designation was given to the town by then Mayor Buddy Dyer in 1990 following years of beautification efforts spearheaded by his predecessor Art Rooney Sr.. In 2006 Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) announced that they would be moving their headquarters from Miami Beach to Pinellas County for two reasons: first because it promoted economic development throughout Southeast Florida; second because JLL had been headquartered there since 1914 when it opened its doors to employees of local banks First National Bank and Trust Company (FNBTC). At that time Pinellas County had no county government other than Sheriff’s Office which provided law enforcement services surrounding only St Petersburg Municipal Airport outside of county boundaries; this left many areas without basic services such as fire protection or municipal water services. With JLL’s announcement came calls for change throughout Pinellas County including asking FNBTC employees whether they wanted their jobs moved or if they wanted county jurisdiction instead so that these areas could receive some form of service connection like police or streetlights etc.; this request was denied due to budgetary concerns however later on it was revealed that FNBTC owned land near Clearwater Beach which would have allowed them to provide service there while still having their HQ north of the beach
