The United States Army has always been a presence in the Debary community. It can be traced back to 1814 when General Andrew Jackson was elected president of the United States and ordered his army to move into Florida. The first military engagement of the American Revolution took place in 1775 at Fort Moultrie on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. In 1898, during World War I, General John J. Pershing ordered an all-out assault against the Spanish forces at Santiago de Cuba. More than 1,500 Americans died in Operation Homage to our Flag (OHL), one of the largest engagements of World War I. On November 11, 1922, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed legislation creating the U.S. Army Forces Europe (USAFE). This new organization included elements from both Allied and Axis nations and was tasked with defending Western Europe against potential aggression by either side during World War II. The USAFE played an essential role in defeating Nazi Germany and its allies at Normandy Beach on June 6, 1944; Buna-Lumba on July 25; and Rome–Foggia on August 24th/25th 1945. Since then, every major war fought by America has been fought with or resulted in deployment of U.S., NATO or other international troops into theaters around the world—except for Afghanistan which is still being prosecuted as a global war crime under current policy changes announced by Trump last week!

Debary is a town in Everglades County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,541 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami–Dade Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit Debary were Spanish soldiers who found it in 1763 on their way from Havana to Fort Lauderdale after landing on an unknown island. In 1814 Englishman Edward John Smith explored and charted the area around what is now Debary when he was topographer for the military governor of Cuba. He named it "Everett" after his friend and mentor, Admiral Sir George Everett Porteous (1784-1835). In 1831 A.P. Haley sold land which included present day Debary to J.M. Allen for $1,000 cash plus 10% interest per year until 20 years had passed or until a mortgage could be obtained from another party interested in the land; if perpetual then $2,500 per annum would be paid annually installments until sold or leased back to Mr. Haley by deed conveyed during life or by gift given over estate at death... . This transaction led to current days of agriculture and industry being conducted within the boundaries of present day Debary." In 1892 the New York Central Railroad built its line through Everglades National Park west of today's town limits - this created an immediate need for transportation through those lands as well as closer access to markets in South America and Europe so there was increased trade traffic between Miami and these new markets as well as new settlers moving into what became known as "the Glades". By 1906 only 8 families lived in Debary with a total population of 129 people according to census records - this number had rapidly grown thanks largely to growth along railroad lines that connected various points eastward into South America and out into international waters providing easy access both ways for goods and people coming ashore seeking economic opportunities - today's town sprang up quickly due primarily to its location on railroad tracks with easy access not just eastward but also southward into areas such as north central Miami where industries were soon established including trucking logistics companies ferrying goods between those two cities! A post office was opened in 1914 under name "Lakeland", later changed back to "Debary". The first store opened here in 1924-25 by Mrs Alice Mosely who ran it with her husband Cushman Mosely (1860-1937) from their home across US Highway 41 from Lakeland Beach Lodge where they entertained visitors aboard their vessel called The Daisy Sue which anchored off shore near present day Tower Island Marina before sailing away each morning during high tide leaving ample food storage behind! Today's current shopping center complex located adjacent to Tower Island Marina began developing full time about 1966 when much needed water infrastructure repairs were completed following Hurricane Andrew flood damage; now consisting of large commercial/residential buildings housing numerous businesses including several restaurants/cafes/stores all facing inland onto large open expanses of asphalt parking lots!

Debary is a small town in Hardee County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,914 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area. The first inhabitants of this area were phosphate miners and their families who founded a community on what is now known as Easter Island in 1912. In 1916, settlers arrived from Georgia to begin farming the land that would later become Debary. In 1926, The Hardee County Company (later named Gulf Oil) began production operations adjacent to present-day Debary and soon developed the town into an important oil depot and refining center for southeastern Florida. By 1949, it had become one of the largest towns inHardee County with over 100 businesses and 2,000 residents. During World War II, Debary acted as a major air supply point for the Allied forces stationed in southeast Florida; its strategic location made it an ideal spot for storage and distribution facilities for fighter planes prepped for battle against Axis forces across North Africa and Europe. Since its inception as a small community within Hardee County, Debary has experienced many changes: from being primarily agricultural to becoming bedroom communities for Jacksonville's rapidly growing population; from being an important industrial center during wartime to witnessing rapid growth during postwar years; and finally culminating in its current form as a largely residential community located within easy reach of downtown Jacksonville.
