In 1957, another group of businessmen bought current land at Bal Harbour Boulevard & Northwest First Street which became known as "Dalton Plaza." From here they began developing what would become today's downtown area - which included building several high rises such as One Dalton Place (now called 100% Dalton Place) which still stands today! By 1970, there were more than 350 businesses in downtown Doral! This growth continued into the 21st century with more than 500 businesses existing by 2000!
