Dunedin, Florida is a small city located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The population was 8,814 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Miami-Dade County and the largest community in that county by area. Dunedin is located on the east bank of the Miami River and its downtown area includes a mixture of older brick buildings dating back to 1892 and new high-rise condominiums and apartments developments. The name "Dunedin" is thought to be derived from two Indian words - "dun" meaning place or fortification, and "din" meaning town or settlement. The first settler in what is now Dunedin was John McDermott who arrived in 1794 as part of an expedition under Captain James Cook. He named his land "Biscayne Bay." In 1834, Colonel George Aiken purchased about two-thirds of what is now Dunedin from McDermott for $12,000 cash with interest at 3%. Aiken founded Biscayne Park which included much of what is now Dunedin. The first post office in Dunedin was established on December 12, 1835, but no mail received because there wasn't a road from Biscayne Park to Terminus Point! On January 1st 1840 a mail route opened up between Biscayne Park and Terminus Point via Jacksonville due to increased trade along the river caused by War Between States (1848). The first store opened in November 1840 at Whatley's Mill just north of present day Broadway Avenue. In 1862 General Prentice built Fort Prentice near today's intersection of Main Street/Broadway Avenue and US 41/SR 7 Business Loop south of downtown to protect againstSpanish forces attacking Mobile Bay during the American Civil War (1861). In 1865 when Volney Elliott moved his family from New York City to Tampa he decided this would be their permanent home so they named their new town after himself - Volney Elliottstownship where ever since it has been known as "Elliottville." At this time only about 10% of voucher land had been sold so most development took place on spacious Presidio Key Peninsula which still forms partofthe city limits today including partsof south Hillsborough Village within southeast corner Of City Limits called SpringHillShores . Development continued until after World War II when most people left for better jobs elsewhere before Hurricane Flora hit in 1948 reducing housing stock by 50%. Today only about 5% remains on that peninsula unincorporated areas making it one OF THE LARGEST CITIES IN MIA DADE COUNTY WITH A POPULATION OF ABOUT 8,814

At this time, Philadelphia had one of the largest populations of immigrants to America – Polish and Italian people were among the first to arrive. The Café Conte operated from this location until it burned down on December 7th, 1814 – making it one of the earliest known fires in American history! Dutch Bros.' first cafe opened up in 1915 on Second Avenue in New York City with two locations before expanding to eighteen locations across four states by 1916! They are considered to be one of the pioneers of URBAN CAFE dining style which enjoyed popularity throughout Depression-era America due to their innovative menu items like Sloppy Joes with Ham or Roast Beef Salad! The company went public on NASDAQ under the name DOUBLE THREAD COFFEE CORPORATION in 1934! Four Barrel Coffee Roasters was founded by Doug Burger back when they only sold coffee beans direct from their farm located outside Chattanooga TN! Dunedin is a city in Seminole County, Florida, United States. The population was 26,975 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Seminole County and part of the Tampa–St Petersburg metropolitan area. The first permanent European settlement in what is now Dunedin was made in 1837 by Captain George Elliott and his party of Scottish pioneers under the leadership of Captains John Stroud and James McGillivray. In 1839, Duncan McIntyre surveyed land comprising modern-day Dunedin on the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River. The town name was derived from a local Indian word meaning "water where trees grow." In 1840, following construction on Tattoo Hill Dam by Andrew Jackson's administration, water supplies for Dunedin were improved and began to be available for irrigation. On October 15, 1840, Daniel Webster married Caroline Anna Childers in what would become one of Florida's most famous weddings; her mother had brought her to Jacksonville that year to marry him there. In 1845, Major General William Troup arrived with 1st Brigade U.S. Volunteer Infantry and constructed Fort Walton Beach downstream from present-day Dunedin on Caloosahatchee Lake so that American forces could blockade Spanish reinforcements attempting to invade Florida during the Mexican–American War (1846–48). Dunedin became an integral part of Seminole County when it was created from parts of Hillsborough and Duval counties in 1907; its incorporation as a city followed two years later on November 2, 1909. The population has grown steadily since then: according to the 2000 Census it reached 27,075—the largest figure within Seminole County—and reached 28,514 as of July 2010 esti
