The Accorsi family ran an espresso shop on First Street for many years until they sold it in 1914. In that same year, Angelo Rizzoli opened his own roastery and cafe in what is now known as the Rizzoli Building on Third Street. Today, Angelo's Coffee remains one of America's leading roasteries and cafes for coffee lovers around the world. In 1933, Donato Frascati founded his namesake Frasca Coffee Company near downtown Edgewater with his brother Alberto Frascati. The company continued growing and producing delicious Italian-made espresso until its closure in 1984. Today, Donato's descendants run two separate small businesses called Donato Bros./Frasca & Sons Coffee (owned by brothers Lorenzo and Pietro) which continue to produce high quality Italian-made espresso beans at their mausoleum-like location on Tenth Avenue South in downtown Edgewater. Donato Bros./Frasca & Sons Coffee produces over 1 million cups of excellent Italian-made espresso each month from their plantation location!
