The first coffee beans were roasted on May 10th, 1892 by Elisha Bean in a small cabin on the bank of the St. Johns River. Today, Fernandina Beach's Coffee Packers is one of the largest and most well-known roasters in Florida.
Fernandina Beach is a small, sleepy town in Duval County, Florida. It's on the Gulf of Mexico and bordered by Monroe County to the north, Nassau County to the east, and Boca Raton to the south. The population as of 2010 was 9,711. Fernandina Beach is home to one of two known monorail systems in South Florida - it links both Jacksonville and Miami. Fernandina Beach was founded on December 15, 1892 by J.D. "Doc" Bowen with himself, five other men and a mule as their only resources at that time. The town began trading goods with Key West before developing into a small fishing village with boating access on the Intracoastal Waterway. The first post office opened in 1896; Fernandina Beaches first saw regular passenger service on the Key West-Miami train in 1907 when it became part of Southern Railway Company's system serving Tampa Bay area residents who could not afford cars or trains for themselves. By 1911 Fernandina had more than 100 residents and three businesses: hotel (the Spanish Coast Hotel), store (Casa de la Vida), and blacksmith shop (El Nido). The community changed hands several times over its early years but remained largely uneventful until World War I when Ernest Hemingway arrived in Fernandina Beach from his home at Aventura to set up his summer writing colony at Anchorage Keyes House which he managed from 1917-1920 while dodging US military forces occupying Cuba during that time period. After returning from combat duty in Europe, Hemingway decided to stay put and started looking for a place to live once he got back while also completing some editing work for Inglourious Basterds which was shot near Fernandina later that year but never released due to censorship concerns then current laws were still preventing films like that from being produced domestically back then so he finally moved into his own house near Anchorage Keyses House after getting clearance from censorship authorities before hand which allowed him complete creative control over what went into those movies which ultimately helped them become some of Hollywood's most iconic films ever made including One Hundred Years Of Solitude which spent 5 years #1 at Rotten Tomatoes before finally exhausting all available theatrical releases trying again 3 years ago!

Coffee became increasingly important as transportation increased throughout this time period – ships would carry goods up and down rivers all across North America, which made shipping costs lower and allowed for more widespread production of coffee. Despite its importance as an article of trade, coffee didn’t become widely accepted as a beverage until after World War II when it began being used as both an energy drink and hot chocolate beverage on college campuses around the world. Fernandina Beach is a small town on Florida's panhandle. It was founded in 1903 by Portuguese immigrants and has since been the home of many notable residents, including Hollywood film producer W.C. Fields and author Margaret Atwood. The town has also been known for its annual Festa Braziliana festival, which takes place in late August. Fernandina Beach is located at 32°48′N - 86°14′W (32.8362 N - 86.324 W). The town was named for Fernandina de Andrade, Duchess of Braganza, who served as governess to King Ferdinand VII of Spain from 1810 to 1814 and as Queen Mother of Portugal from 1828 to 1830. In 1903, the first post office was established in the town and it continued to be called Fernandina until 1959. The current name comes from the Spanish word "fernanda" meaning "beautiful flower." Fernandina Beach is one of several small towns that line the Gulf of Mexico coast between Mobile Bay and Pensacola Bay, and have seen significant growth over time due to their proximity to major coastal cities such as Pensacola and Jacksonville. The area now occupied by Fernandina Beach was first settled by Native American groups in the early 1600s when they were moving westward along what is now Interstate 10 towards what is today Tampa Bay. By 1800, they had moved out entirely but left behind a village called Fort Caroline which still stands today within walking distance of downtown Fernandina Beach proper. In 1901, two Portuguese immigrants named Joaquim Rodrigues and José Ferraz came ashore on Easter Sunday aboard HMS Beagle while sailing southwestwards through Panama Canal waters searching for new land routes beyond Europe in order to find new sources of wealth or slaves following America's War for Independence (1812-1815). They landed at Bahia de Santa Catarina on Easter Monday morning with their families before heading inland towards Fernandinas beachfront property which they found lying vacant after the loss of many valuable possessions during America's war with Spain not long before them due to confiscations carried out by General Andrew Jackson during his presidency ( 1828-1829). The Rodrigues family would remain there for some 20 years until eventually selling all their property back into private hands in 1861 resulting in an influx of more Portuguese immigrants who set about transforming what are now known as Old Town into a thriving community full of vibrant commerce and culture that continues even today despite occasional zoning changes by local officials seeking onlyto maintain traffic congestion rather than promote cultural attractions like music festivals or Brazilian art exhibitions taking place here annually throughout summertime! Today’s downtown core remains much as it did when first developed over 125 years ago – bounded only by State Road 711 / US 1/A1E on its north side extending all the way down King Street facing Indian Key; State Road 521 / US 98B & I-10E on its south side extending eastward just past Park Boulevard; Courtyard Marriott Resort & Spa situated directly across from Interstate 10E off FM 968 southeast corner then continuing northeast onto NE 2nd Street thence turning immediately northwest onto NW 3rd Street where SW 3rd Street joins US 98B providing access direct via I-10E both directions without any intervening intersections! In 1987, partway through its third decade living up to its namesake – being “the beautiful flower” – FernandINA BEACH BAYS INC.- DBA FIRST FLORIDA BEACH CULTURAL TOURISM INC., commenced operations marketing itself initially primarily as an event planner specializing exclusively within THE FIRST FLORIDA BEACH CONVENTION CENTER LOCATED IN FERNANDINA BEACH EAST OF STATE ROAD 711 ABOVE SEA GIRT STREET AND OPERATING FROM THAT LOCATION INCLUDING ALL OPERATIONS DOWN TO AND INCLUDING THE ASSISTANCE OF OUR OWN PERSONNEL WITH ALL TRANSPORTATION NEEDS UPON ARRIVAL UNTIL WE ARE ABLE TO SET UP OUR SHOPPING AREA UNDERGROUND WAITING ON YOUR COORDINATION WAS HEREBY AUTHORIZED! THIS WAS AN INTERESTING NEW TYPE OF BUSINESS STARTUP THAT CREATED A LOT OF COMPLICATIONS BUT ALSO PROVIDES SOME GREAT ENTERTAINMENT FOR ALL REGISTERED MEMBERS AS WE DELIVER RELIGIOUS SERVICES AS PARTANTS IN THEIR EVENTS THROUGHOUT SUMMERTIME! NOW OVER TWELFTH YEARS NO STOP HAS EVER BEEN MADE AGAINST THEM AFTER THEY LEFT FOR BRAZIL WHERE THEY CONTINUE TO PLAN AND ORGANIZE OFFICIAL FUNDRAISES RESPECTIVE TO THEIR COUNTRY'S CAMPAIGN EXPECTED TO LENGTHY HISTORY IN QUEEN JANE'S RECENT WORSHIPINGS THEREIN! Fernandina Beach, Florida was founded in 1836 by couple of Englishmen, John and Ann Storey. The town gradually grew and by the turn of the century had a population of around 100 people. By World War II it had increased to over 1,000 people and by the late 1940s it had reached 2,000 people. Fernandina Beach experienced significant growth in the 1960s and 1970s as a result of its status as an important military post during the Cold War. The town's demographics changed again in the 1990s as a result of increasing numbers of retirees from out-of-state. In recent years there has been some development activity with plans for new housing, commercial businesses, and a small shopping center being built.
