The company manufactures and sells powdered milk, hot cocoa, lattes, mochas and other coffee-based beverages. In 2001, Don Freeman passed away and his son Gary continued to operate the company until 2009 when he sold it to Starbucks Corporation. Since its inception, Starbucks has purchased more than 20% of all donuts made in America. In 2013, Starbucks announced plans to open up 4 new stores in Florida alone; one each in Daytona Beach/Ormond Beach; Fort Myers/Naples; Key West/Ponce de Leon; and Tampa/St Petersburg. These new stores will join theexisting Starbucks locations at US 1 & Kennedy Boulevard in Haines City and US 95 & I-4 near Clearwater beach

Haines City is a small town in Citrus County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sunnyvale, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area around Haines City was first populated by Sooches and Seminoles in the early 1800s. The economy of Haines City is based on agriculture and manufacturing. The community began as a cattle station on the left bank of Hillsborough River near present-day US-1 and SR-193. In 1892, J.N. Laughlin built a sawmill here and named it after his father-in-law, James Haines (1784-1857). A post office was established at Haines City in 1896; it remained in operation until 1925. The townspeople erected a schoolhouse in 1909 and an addition to it were added in 1912 when the Citrus County School District was created; that building still stands today as the centerpiece of Main Street Elementary School. A fire destroyed most of Brushy Creek Dam on Hillsborough River in 1928; however, due to donations from local citizens, both new dams were rebuilt within two years and remain operational today as part of the municipal water supply for Haines City residents. In 1951, construction began on what would become Lockheed Martin's world headquarters; work continued until 1957 when production moved to Marietta, Georgia because of budget cuts at Lockheed Martin worldwide Headquarters . In 1989 – following passage of US federal law known as "North Carolina Wildlife Resources Act" (CITRUS) 89 – all live poultry operations were relocated from eastern North Carolina to central Florida including those located withincitrus county limits – effectively kills off much rural economic activity that supported many families lived close by with their hens/poultry production activities ceased without any impact on retail prices or other aspects affecting these family businesses

From then on, coffee cultivation spread throughout Southeast Asia and parts of Africa. Coffee was brought to India in the mid-19th century and became an important part of Indian culture. The Dutch took control of Indonesia in 1945 and began importing coffee from Brazil which led to their development of ground coffee production which started around 1957. In 1971, Starbucks opened its first store outside of North America and quickly became popular with American students living on campus. Since then, Starbucks has continued expanding its operations all over the world including opening stores in China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and more.

Haines City, Florida was founded by James Haines in 1875. The town began as a small community on the Indian River and grew rapidly due to its location on the Gulf of Mexico and its access to shipping. In 1915, Haines City became a city and was renamed in honor of Admiral William Haines. The city experienced significant growth during World War II as it became an important naval installation. Although the war ended without any combatant fatalities in Haines City, many residents lost their lives in other wars fought throughout the region. In recent years, much of what once constituted downtown has been replaced by residential developments, making it difficult to determine just how populous or thriving the town actually was prior to either development.
The first people to settle in Haines City were the Pascagoula Indians. The land was purchased by John Haines in 1827. He named it after his father, James Haines. In 1828, John Haines formed a partnership with Nicholas Bache and built a sawmill on the river. The mill produced woolen cloth for export. In 1829, the partners sold their business to Asahel Jones. In 1839, James Auld bought the mill from Asahel Jones and renamed it the Auld Mill. In 1840, he started a cotton gin at the mill. By 1850, there were six cotton gins in Florida; two of them operated under license from J.P..Hains & Co., which continued to own and operate them until 1903 when they were sold to JB Crocker & Son). The mill ceased operating in 1903 but continues to be preserved as part of Jacksonville's history museum (now known as Jacksonville Historical Museum). The first post office was established at Haines City in 1849; it was called "New Orleans." It was moved to its present location in 1865 (near where the city now stands) because of postal service problems between Jacksonville and Mobile Bayou Territory (). Since 1898, when statehood made Florida an official U.S. state, many events have taken place within or around Jacksonville including:(1) inaugural ball for new state government(1898), parade through downtown(1902), dedication of St Augustine cathedral(1911), construction of University Hospital(1913-present), Ford’s Theatre renovation and reopening(1964-1965), Hurricane Andrew storm surge damage (1992-1993)), Pensacola parade(2002), etc.)
