The first mention of maga coffee was found in a journal written by Captain James Cook when he visited the area in 1778. He noted that he had tasted this coffee and described it as “awful” because it was devoid of flavor. Over time, other European explorers and traders also experienced the same negative feedback about maga coffee and began referring to it as “dead coffee.” However, according to some historians, the name may have been derived from an Indian word meaning “to trade with the sea.” Maga Coffee – A History In 1851, two men named John Denton and Hiram Bick bought land near what is now Haines City for $1,000. They soon realized that they had discovered something special when they started cultivating maga beans. From their farmhouse, they began selling their beans to local farmers who then sold them on to Major General Pierce Butler for his Army garrison at Fort Donelson in Nashville Tennessee. In 1865, General Butler moved his camp northward towards Mobile Bay and discovered oil wells there which led him to abandon his plans for an assault on Mobile Bay and instead focus on developing these new resources. During this time period, Captain John Browne of HMS Discovery recorded a visit to Mobile Bay by Admiral Farragut who observed shipping being unloaded at Alabama Shipbuilding Company yards adjacent to Fort Donelson barracks complex where he learned that much valuable oil had been developed around here under construction before Buxton's campaign against Spanish forces interrupted its development! Captain Browne penned a letter home describing his observations which were later published in The American Journal of Natural History (Vol 54 No 4). He mentioned that while loading goods onto vessels at Alabama Shipbuilding Company Yards he encountered Indians engaged in trade with white sailors- whom he called “maga sons” because they possessed such strongoodoo powers – who managed to stop all shipments during their performance of rituals related to acquiring treasures from Spanish treasure fleets operating offshore during this time period! Browne also took note of an unusual building located adjacent those yards - which appeared never before seen on either side of the bay - referred to as the Castle or Fortress Building (!), built largely out of coral blocks quarried nearby from various coastal towns including Pensacola Beach! It has been speculated by some historians that this fortress may have been designed as part of a defensive measure against pirate attacks along Mobile Bay during this era! By 1876, over 50 years after Captain John Browne's visit,magavine coffee production operations were underway within city limits at 527 Broad Street where Zephaniah Greene operated a print shop together with 2 brothers - David & Solomon Green – serving as entrepreneurs/owners/ operators! Thisenterprise enjoyed modest success until 1902 when David Green became bankrupted due primarily theretofore unexplained fluctuations in market prices associated with World War I efforts!! After purchasing assets fromDavidGreen& Sons another unsuccessful attempt was made starting up another enterprise known as The Girders grocery store situatedat 409 N Main Street prior finally ceasing operations Nest year 1914 !! From these initial attempts through 1916 we find 8 different enterprisesoperated by individuals within city limits striving unsuccessfullyto sustain high quality output consistentwith traditional bucolic methods utilizing fresh bean processing methodology followedby lengthy roasting times resultingin cup textures both soft & hard; deep black colorations resultantfrom rich espresso content!!!

Haines City, Florida is a small town located in the state of Florida. The population of Haines City was 3,811 at the 2010 census. The town lies on the Gulf Coast and is bordered by Walton County to the north and east, Hillsborough County to the south and west, and Sarasota County to the northwest. The name "Haines City" comes from John Haines who settled in what is now Haines City in 1853. The first post office was established in1854. In 1865, Haines City became a county seat when it was formed from part of Walton County. On December 5th, 1907, Hurricane Andrew struck southern Florida killing over 100 people as well as causing extensive damage across much of that state including parts of Jacksonville and Tampa Bay. Some residents decided to stay behind in their homes which would become known as "the ghost towns". Afterward many businesses closed but some continued operations such as J C's Creamery which still stands today inside the old courthouse square today! According to the 2010 census, there are 3,811 people living in Haines City proper with an additional 1,543 residing in nearby unincorporated areas

This allowed them to create their own styles of coffee that were more unique than those available in Europe or Asia. The company also became known for its quality and rareness. During World War II, Ottoman Coffee was used as a source of military intelligence by the Axis powers. Consequently, some of its best-quality beans ended up in European hands. After the war, Ottoman Coffee was sold off to various companies until it finally fell into ruin in the early 21st century.
The Maga Coffee Company was founded in 1916 by Hasan S. Al-Kandari, a Iraqi Kurd who immigrated to the United States and started up the company as a mixture of Arabic and American coffee. The first store opened in Newark, New Jersey. In 1926, Kandari merged his company with another American coffee company, Jardin Coffee & Tea of Philadelphia. In 1938, Jardin Coffee & Tea became known as the Maga Coffee Company after its founders bought out Kandari's company.
Haines City is located in Putnam County, Florida, about 20 miles southwest of Tampa. The community was founded by General James Haines in 1828 as a station on the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Railroad. It became a town in 1835 and an incorporated city in 1889. The population was 12,868 at the 2000 census. The first permanent European settlers in Haines City were Dutch immigrants who arrived during the War of 1812 and built a cabin on what is now First Street. In 1818, Captain John Weems came to America from Holland with his family and erected a sawmill on the banks of the St Johns River just east of present-day Fourth Street. He named his new village after General James Haines, who had fought in that war against British forces near Tampa Bay. During agricultural season, local farmers would bring their produce to market in Tampa or Clearwater before setting up shop themselves along Third Street between East Lake Shore Drive and US 1 (now US 27). By 1830, there were several stores and two churches established within Haines City limits; one Protestant (the Wesleyan Methodist Church) and one Catholic (St Joseph’s Parish). A post office was organized here in 1834 with Wm Sprague as its first mailer. At this time, much of Putnam County was still Indian land reserved for Seminole Indians living off grid among their southern kinsmen – including those residing around what is now Haines City proper! In 1840, when Colonel Nathaniel Peebles bought 724 acres northwest of present-day downtown Haines City from the Seminole Tribe for $1 million dollars ($100 per acre), he began construction on what would become Peebles University – making it Florida’s first college campus! After years of fundraising and construction hell, Peebles’ dream university finally opened its doors to students on October 25th, 1861! Over 150 years later (and many expansions), Peebles University has grown into one of Florida’s leading research institutions – ranked #2 nationally by UBS Bank & Co., LLP! There are currently over 50 colleges/universities across Florida teaching undergraduate& graduate level courses; 15% of FSU’s total enrollment comes from out-of-state students! As an economic engine for Putnam County since its incorporation as a city serviced by fast paced global economy growth accelerating since World War II(!),HainesCity has seen dramatic redevelopment throughout recent decades including: new retail development; professional medical offices; housing developments characterizing “Mediterranean Revival Style Moderne architecture characterized by large arches typical carried over into today”[1]; major league baseball team [Florida Marlins] playing ball at Doak Walker Stadium since 2002 thru 2020[2]; annual 4 day music festival headlined by Gov Govndt NOVA All Stars which takes place every year at Veterans Memorial Coliseum close to downtown Mayport
In 1868, Haines City was founded by J.C. Haines and his brother-in-law, Wm. A. Cobb. The town was named for Captain James Haines of the United States Navy who had been killed in action at Vicksburg during the Mexican-American War. The city experienced growth in the early years with many new businesses opening up around the canal system that bisected the town. However, during World War II, much of the city was destroyed by bombing raids from Japan resulting in a large loss of life including many of Haines City's citizens who were killed or wounded in bombings that took place throughout Southeast Florida during that time period. Today, portions of Haines City are still being rebuilt with new business openings being a mainstay along with some historical remains remaining such as the old courthouse which is now used as a library and museum.
