There has been a gunman gift history in Haines City, Florida for over seventy years. The first gunman to come to the town was W.A. Burnett who settled in the area in 1885. He and his wife, Lillie, started the first post office and store in town. Burnett later became sheriff of Haines City and is buried at Spring Grove Cemetery. The second gunman to settle in Haines City was J.D. Gainey who arrived around 1900. He ran a grocery store and post office until he died in 1956. gainey's grandson, Donnie Gainey, runs the grocery store today with his wife Lori on the board of directors. gainedey's great-grandson, John Gainey Jr., also lives in Haines City and operates a gas station next door to his grandparents' store during business hours

On October 15, 2004, brothers Devin and Cody Haines bought an airsoft gun from a store in Haines City, Florida. They named the gun "Red Ryder" and began playing airsoft with it. On November 17, 2004, they won their first game of the season against rival team "Blue Thunder" in a match that lasted around two hours. The brothers would continue to play together every day after school until December 2 when Devin got into trouble at school for using his Airsoft Gun in class. His parents took him home and he was grounded for nine months.
Haines City is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area. Haines City is located on Florida's Eastern Coast and it is bordered by Indian River to the south, Jacksonville to the north, and St. Johns County to the east. According to The Daily Herald, "the city has been called 'The Gateway to the Gulf Coast' for many years because of its strategic location on two major shipping routes." Haines City was established in 1892 as a small community on what was then known as "Big Cypress Plantation", which lies today just south of I-95 between State Road 826 and Highway 316. By 1906, when Haines City became an official city, it included all of present-day Polk County except for parts of St Johns County to the east and northwest. In 1930, Haines City annexed portions of Indian River Township (later renamed Jensen Beach), making it one municipality with a total population of over 20,000 people. In 1960s and 1970s there were most significant growth in businesses related to tourism due to new Interstate 95 exit ramps opening up just east and west of town center; these include Everglades Tours Inc., which became world famous for operatingigators from their attraction along I-95 outside town; PGA Tour golfer Tiger Woods played his first pro tour event at nearby University Hills Golf Course in 1998; Key West Air National Guard Base opened up next door in 1992; Dolphin Cruise Lines opened up shop across from Hainses City Marina while still using Big Cypress Plantation as headquarters until 1995; various other business expansions have followed since then including Allied Contractors (now JMC Services), American Legion Post #527 (now American Legion Post #755) - now home to Knights Landing Regional Medical Center - Gatorade distributorship affiliated with local school yearbook publishing company during later years; Asiana Airlines mainline flights serviced out Terminal A/B adjacent property during early 2000s before being moved inland closer to downtown Jacksonville proper beginning in late 2007 or 2008 following renovation efforts initiated by Mayor Tommy Thompson A number of large festivals are also held throughout summertime such as ArtfestivalsFlorida every October since 2003 only held outside city limits but draws thousands who attend art show events throughout peninsula all week long without having any contact with city folks apart from occasional presence at special events managed by chamber office

Haines City is a town in Osceola County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kissimmee–Fort Myers Metropolitan Statistical Area. Haines City is located on Stonington Bay and extends into Indian River County. The first permanent settler in what is now Haines City was Captain John Smith who arrived in 1796 with his family from Virginia. He named the bay after himself, James Haines, 2nd Viscount Haines of Talbot. At that time there were no rivers or streams to provide drinking water for settlements and most people relied on rainfall for their sustenance. In 1802 Ulysses S. Grant routed a Seminole tribe under Chief Manuel Fontana near present day Fort Pierce and burned their villages and fields adjacent to the mouth of Stonington Bay just outside of town limits so as not to scare away settlers looking for new land to farm. In 1836 Jeptha Bartlett moved from Mobile, Alabama with his wife Emeline to Gainesville where he became an attorney and member of the Gainesville School Board before moving back east in 1840 to start another law practice in Pensacola before becoming Sheriff of Hillsborough County in 1861 when Florida attained statehood. Jeptha's older brother George had come down with smallpox during a trip across Mexico as part of General Andrew Jackson's army and died shortly after arrival at Pensacola (now Tampa) leaving behind two children- George Jr., age 10 years old when he died suddenly at home on October 3rd 1837 Aged only 21 months-Jeptha Sr., age 7 years old when he also died suddenly while giving birth at home less than one year later on November 30th 1850). On December 20th 1800 Pacheco removed 360 white men & women from Nombre de Dios Island towards what is now Tampa Landing Zone #3 & 4 beach down Caloosahatchee River then drove them offshore by landing them abreast along shoreline using pieces of driftwood/logs they had brought ashore with them bailing canoes over head into deep water; this entire process was supervised by Captains Pedro Menendez RN & José Baez RN Spanish Marines who prevented any further incidents until goods reached wharf safely some days later under supervision of American forces led by Col William Reeves USMC Commander – One event that stands out above all others related thereto are Accounts given by both Captains about watching women jump overboard onto ships -women did this voluntarily during those early days as it seemed very dangerous being stranded ashore without food or shelter!!! This demonstrates forcibly taking control over someone's land which effectively ended any slave trade within earshot! The area around what is now Haines City was originally called Nombre de Dios (Name Of God) because Spanish colonists believed that this natural bay would be ideal for growing crops because it provided plenty of freshwater resources including tidal waters which could be used frequently for irrigation purposes." By 1860 Jacksonville had become more populous so Captain Richard Moultrie decided to move his naval headquarters there instead due to its location near Jupiter Lake which harbored many vessels used by navy warships moored there for repairs or operations underway inside Jupiter Lake Naval Air Station.(This facility would eventually become Palm Beach International Airport). On July 13th 1861 Moultrie ordered Rear Admiral Amos Kendall ensconced atop Big Pine Key within easy rifle range of Jacksonville providing coverage against Confederate threats along Gulf Coast should war break out between south Floridians and northern Virginians.) After several failed attemptsRED CROSSES were conducted against Confederate artillery batteries aboard USS "Alabama" off Cape Canaveral(off today's Fernandina Beach), East Monroe(just north side Of Miami Beach), Live Oak Harbor(just west side Of Miami Lakes)and finally Friday August 5th 1861 - Red Cross was successfully conducted against Battery #1 aboard USS "Virginia" offshore Jupiter Lake Naval Air Station resulting in the deathof 3 Confederates & damageto 6 other vessels.) By 1865 Jacksonville had been abandoned due to lack of supplies following Union victory over Confederate armies at First Battle Of Bull Run Bridge.( consequentward civilian development continued apace throughout muchOf eastern FL.) Meanwhile presents day Haine City developed primarily as a commercial center serving nearby towns such as Port Saint Lucie, Fort Myers, Naples, Clearwater Beach etc..
