The first known cup of coffee was brewed by two German immigrants, Johann Georg Kapp and Wilhelm Schrader, on May 1st, 1828 at the home of Dr. August Klingel in what is now called Zimmermann Park. The first written record of a fight taking place in Hallandale Beach took place on October 15th, 1892 between John E. Brown and George A. Higgins in front of the local hotel. In 1951, Tactical Coffee began serving its first cup of independent espresso to members of the military stationed in Fort Lauderdale from Ft Pierce Naval Station. Hallandale Beach, Florida is a city located on the Gulf of Mexico in southwest Miami-Dade County. The population was 859 at the 2010 census. As of the 2010 census, there were also 164 housing developments and over 1,000 businesses in Hallandale Beach. The beachfront community began as a small fishing village founded by wealthy entrepreneurs in 1915. The first areas of development were along Collins Avenue and then Marine Drive. In 1954, developer Jerald J. Kress bought 204 acres (80 hectares) of sand dunes for $5 million and developed it into what is now Hallandale Beach Marketplace shopping district with a variety of stores including department stores like Sears, Macy's and Marshall Fields, as well as luxury hotels such as Atlantis Resort & Casino and Dolphin Cove Resort. In 2009, developer Jeffery Lutz purchased 10 acres (4 hectares) from Kress for an estimated $140 million to build an office park that would include a large mall and three thousand jobs. The project has been renamed "Jeffery Lutz Park" after the developer's father who died in 2006. In 2013, Mayor Carlos Gimenez announced plans to develop mile-long beaches on both coasts of Miami - one on Governors Key beachfront property east of downtownMIAMI while another will be built west near Boca Raton - both projects are still under construction but should begin operation within two years
The history of coffee is a long and varied one. Coffee was first roasted and brewed on the premises of small farms in Africa and South America. The process of roasting coffee beans began with toasting them in fireplaces or open ovens for a short time, which allowed the flavors to develop. Roasting also exposed the beans to air, water, and other chemicals that could alter their flavor profile. Coffee was brought to Europe by traders in the 16th century. In 1598, Giovanni da Verrazzano discovered Brazil's coast and sailed up its seacoast looking for trade opportunities. When he reached Lisbon, he saw a large amount of coffee being roasted on an open-air platform near the harbor. He ordered some of it and took it back with him to Spain where he distributed it among his friends. In 1599, Portuguese explorer Bartolomeu Dias discovered India's east coast and sailed up its coastline searching for traded goods such as spices and slaves. When he reached Goa in 1511, he found tea being roasted on an open-air platform over an area larger than any other city at that time. This discovery led Portugal to begin trading with India directly instead of through Morocco. In 1612, Dutch sailors discovered Java while sailing around Cape Bojonegro on Java’s eastern shore; they set off a fire in order to roast some coffee beans since there were no trees growing nearby that could produce them commercially (this started the Dutch trade monopoly). After tasting this new variety of coffee, Amsterdam門屋友 Johannis de Witt became interested in trying it himself so he went ashore with two ships and rotted about ninety pounds (40 kg) worth before returning home without having tasted it (he would later state that “the best sort [of coffee] I ever tasted] came from Java”). From then on Dutch traders began importing java from all over Asia Minor including Indonesia as well as Spanish East Indies (now Philippines). Java finally became part of Holland during the 17th century after becoming part of Aceh territory following a dispute between competing Dutch colonial factions over who should control this region following Suriname's independence from Holland in 1604/5. The first printed reference to espresso dates back To November 4th Aprile 1600 when Girolamo Carducci wrote: "Espresso barca notte". When espresso became popularized throughout Europe starting with Prince Eugene de Beaufighter's Eclairages publics restaurant in Paris at la Ruelle in 1809,[1] cafés started serving more than just Turkish black tea because people wanted something different each time they visited.[2][3][4] As café culture increased throughout European cities during 1800s especially Parisian areas Cafés like L'Etoile became centers for socializing amongst fashionable elites[5][6]. However by 1830 most French cafés had closed down due either lack demand or competition from Izakaya bars([7], Japanese cafes).[8]), leaving European Europeans rather disappointed with what they considered basic Italianate refreshment facilities catering primarily towards Turkish immigrants which served mainly Turkish breakfast dishes until late 19th century when cafés such as La Coupole started servingietal dishes such as croissants(croissantes), pastries(pain des mains), chocolates(chocolate croissants), gâteaux(gâtesau), tartes(tartes à la crème) etc., along side traditional French tarts like pain au chocolat et casseroles aux fines herbes etc..[9][10]. although many European languages were used throughout Café Culture these are usually described herein under English language umbrella term ‘Café Society’ because largely these establishments enjoyed high social status within Western society particularly during Late Victorian Period until beginning Twentieth Century period onwards when high class restaurants replaced cafés mainly due cultural reasons i eChanges post Second World War replacement patterns have been faster within developed countries but slower outside those societies[11]).

The town was founded by Norwegian immigrants in 1909 and named after Hallandale on the Danish island of Zealand. The name "Hallandale" means "the calm place." In 1940, some of the original settlers moved to Hallandale Beach from other parts of Miami-Dade County. By then, most Norwegians had left for economic reasons. In 1966, the town changed its name to honor Admiral James Halsey GUS (1893–1975), son of Rear Admiral John Halsey GUS (1858–1935). Admiral James Halsey was a naval officer who played an important role in World War II and later became one of America's leading Cold War diplomats. He served as Commander Amphibious Forces Europe during World War II and Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs from 1951 until his death in 1975. Today, Hallandale Beach remains a small community with close ties to its Norwegian past. There are still a few stores and businesses in town that serve as reminders of that era; however, most people these days enjoy more modern amenities like restaurants and nightlife options available only a few miles away in South Miami-Dade or downtownMiami. tourism has become an important part of the local economy with many visitors coming to see what Hallandale Beach has to offer both during summer months when things are busiest and during winter when it’s quieter but no less interesting!

In 1907, the first post office opened in Hallandale Beach and it remained open until 1959. The first store in Hallandale Beach was a small grocery called The Gables. In 1926, Hallandale Boulevard was created and ran through town. It served as a main street for many years and today remains known as one of Hallandale Beach's most popular streets. In 1951, construction began on what would become the world's first shopping mall, which opened to much fanfare in 1957. Today, Hallandale Beach is home to more than 100 businesses including several top retailers such as Sears Holding Corporation and JCPenney Incorporated. One of the most famous residents of Hallandale Beach was US President Dwight D Eisenhower, who abided by local customs when he visited during his 1953 re-election campaign. Eisenhower toured local businesses and restaurants before attending an agricultural show at nearby Palm Springs Airport on March 3rd – one day after his inauguration ceremony at Washington D.C..
