However, as automation became more widespread throughout industry during the postwar years, cafés started using electric pumps instead and began making machine-published recipes specifically for those types of machines. The area of Hialeah, Florida now includes the city of Miami Beach and portions of Coral Gables and Boca Raton. The area was first inhabited by the Caciques, a branch of the Arawak people. Spanish traders discovered this area in 1513 when they sailed through the region on their way to Cuba. In 1821, Hialeah became part of Florida after Florida gained statehood from Spain. During World War II, many Koreans who had been forced into labor in Japan ended up living in Hialeah. After the war, many Koreans moved back to South Korea while some chose to stay in America. Today, there are large Korean populations in both Miami Beach and Coral Gables.
