Blue Bottle Coffee was founded in 1992 by Tom Colicchio and Bruce Chen. The company's first production facility was located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. In 1995, the company moved its operations to Berkeley, California. Blue Bottle has since released over 60 different blends of coffee beans. Peet's Coffee & Tea was founded in 1926 by John Peet and his brother-in-law Clyde Dennison. At first, the brothers brewed only for themselves and their families. Eventually they began selling their coffee through local grocery stores across America. In 1957, Peet opened his first store outside of Seattle metropolitan area. In 1978 Peet acquired Dutch Bros., an grocer chain in the United Kingdom that operated under similar business model to American Grocery Stores (Grocery stores). As part of this acquisition spree, Peet also opened two distribution centers – one in Newark Delaware and one in Scranton Pennsylvania – making him the largest buyer of coffee beans from World War II veteran merchants until Starbucks eclipsed him later that same year (Starbucks had been trading as a business concern separate from its founders since 1971). Four Barrel Coffee Company was founded by four friends who pooled their money to purchase a small roastery on Mount Vernon Street near Cooper Union University in1982). What is Hialeah? Hialeah is a city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 102,848 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greater Miami metropolitan area and covers an area of 26 square miles (68 square kilometers). The name "Hialeah" comes from the Choctaw word "hiawatha," meaning 'settlement place'. The first settler in what is now Hialeah was Captain John Smith who arrived on September 12, 1693. He named it after his trading post on the bayou that flows through present day Hialeah. The first white person to live in what is now Hialeah was George Washington who established a plantation there in 1795. In 1821, Captain William Moultrie built Fort Brooke for his American army during the Seminole Wars. After America's victory over Spain in the War of 1812, Commodore James Cook sailed into Miami Bay and anchored at Fort Brooke on November 10, 1814 to explore and map new areas for colonization. On December 5th he discovered land east of Fort Brooke which he named King's Sound after England's Prince Regent King George III. Cook returned to Britain with news of this discovery and appointed David Darling as captain general of all U.S.-owned Florida lands north of Creek Key on February 2nd, 1815 In 1830 Colonel James Fenton erected a schoolhouse in what is now known as Northwest Park Avenue in honor of Dr. Jnoeph Peebles who had been instrumental in establishing education opportunities for African Americans throughout southern Florida In 1896 sugarcane production began here and continued until 1949 when it was replaced by other crops such as corn, soybeans and rice
