There is no doubt that coffee has always been a popular drink in Holly Hill, Florida. One of the first coffee shops was opened in this town back in 1865 by one Mr. and Mrs. John Waddell. The beans that were used for making coffee here were sourced from various plantations locals were working on at the time. This type of coffee continued to be produced and sold here until the early 1990s when the company that ran the shop, Dutch Bros Coffee, went bankrupt. gourmet coffee history in Holly Hill, Florida started with the first coffee shop in the town in the early 1800s. The first coffee shop was named Cafe de Paris and was located on Main Street. The first store that sold gourmet coffee was called Gros Jouet. In the late 1800s, a man by the name of John Peter Cook opened a second store in Holly Hill. This store became known as Mr. Coffee's Coffee House and continued to sell gourmet coffee until it closed in 1927. The next big thing to happen in Holly Hill was when Bob Evans opened his first restaurant there in 1959. Bob Evans' Restaurant was quickly followed by many other restaurants that allowed customers to order gourmet coffees from their menus. There were also numerous cafes and bars that served delicious cup of Joe's gourmet coffee throughout the 1960s through the 1990s. However, because Starbucks began grinding beans for themselves starting around 1997, most of these earlier cafes stopped selling gourmet coffee altogether or changed their recipes so that they no longer used quality Arabica beans.

Holly Hill is a small town in Collier County, Florida. It was founded in 1892 by two families who were farmers and ranchers. The town grew slowly until the early 1960s when it exploded with growth due to its proximity to Miami Beach and its status as the only municipality inCollier County with a population over 500. In 1962, the voters of Holly Hill created a city charter, which led to increased development and growth in the town. In 1970, Holly Hill became an incorporated city. Today, it remains one of the most rapidly growing communities in Collier County. The history of Holly Hill is replete with tragedy: five members of the original family died in accidents on their farmstead; later that same year, another member of the family lost his life after being electrocuted while plowing; four sisters (iewiczysa, hollymaxxie, hollyhayley) married into other families and all but one sister eventually divorced or died young from marital complications; finally, one brother (and namesake of Holly Hill) survived World War II and passed away in 1969 at age 96 years old. Nevertheless, these tragedies did not dampen spirits or stop people from coming to live and work within the limits of what would soon become known as "Holly Hill". On July 14th 1870 Governor Andrew Johnson signed into law "An act for establishing new townships within this state", named after General John Covington's brigadier general son-in-law Francis Marion (1786-1836), who had represented Florida at the Treaty of Paris that ended America's war with Spain. The townships were allocated based on population size rather than land value so that more people could be accommodated without moving away from their homes. When Colletonwas established as a separate municipality on January 1st 1871 there were 7 residents living therein including 3 farmers - three men barely able to keep up with continued growth rates set by developers! On May 5th 1872 Gideon Griggs donated 100 acres adjoining present day HollyHill Cemetery for cemetery purposes - making him one of very few landowners everto donate such land directly to a community! This donation helped spur continued Growth & Expansion throughout much of 19th century Collier County

The Holly Hill Plantation was a plantation in present-day Florida that was active from 1795 to 1818. The plantation was named for the Holly Hill mountain range located in central Florida. The Holly Hill Plantation had about 200 slaves, as well as more than 50 white laborers. The first slave trade took place on the Holly Hill Plantation in 1795. A group of indentured Africans were brought over by Master Hugh Bate and his wife Nancy. As time passed, other masters began trading with Africa and demand for slaves grew among European traders. In 1801, a group of freedmen led by John Fenton purchased the Holly Hill Plantations from Hugh Bate for $10,000. John Fenton turned the plantation into a manufacturing center after purchasing the machinery and tools needed to run it. He also built a series of mills that produced flour, cottonseed oil, china, shoes and other products until he died in 1838. His son James Fenton continued operations on the property until 1865 when it was sold to George Talbot Vanderbilt who then sold it to Julius Rosenwald Jr., who later sold it to Arturo Frondizi Jr..

Holly Hill was a small town in central Florida that was founded in 1892 by James Foley. Foley led a wagon train from St. Augustine, Florida to Holly Hill after being stranded on the Seminole Trail. The town grew quickly and soon boasted a grocery, post office, and two churches. By 1916, Holly Hill had over 100 residents and the first school was built. The town declined in the 1920s due to bad luck with floods and the Great Depression led to some drop-offs in population. In the 1960s, Holly Hill regained its stability and became an important community center for central Florida.
