Jacksonville Beach is an unincorporated community in St. Johns County, Florida, United States. The population was 8,812 at the 2010 census. Jacksonville Beach is located on U.S. 1 south of St. Augustine and east of Jacksonville proper. The city of Jacksonville was founded by English settlers in 1821 as a small fishing village on the mainland opposite St. Augustine on the mouth of the Pasco River. In 1854, Jacksonville annexed part of what is now Orange County, creating one of Florida's most significant growth periods during the early 19th century when Spanish settlements were being established all over central and southern Florida along with Tampa Bay and other areas within present-day Georgia and Alabama. The discovery of oil in 1901 led to rapid development in Jacksonville Beach due to its proximity to supplies and its potential for production from undersea sources as well as its location at the headland which provided a natural harbor for shipping operations for both international commerce and Confederate forces during World War II (1911-18). During much of this time period there was little infrastructure or development beyond what could be walked or ridden around town, much like today's neighborhoods which are built around interconnected streets/alleys with picket fences between them reminiscent of those days when families roamed these streets together without fear that they would lose their home should something happen to their neighbor’s plantation crops or livestock during a bad drought year; such fears no doubt contributed to why many residents chose not to move into more recent subdivisions until after Katrina hit while others simply didn't have the money (or resources) available to invest in new construction given how quickly prices had increased since purchasing property had become so difficult back then especially relative to rents even though housing developments such as Lakeshore Estates soon followed suit throughout much of downtown area gentrification has occurred over time making it difficult for non-native English speaking populations who are ostensibly descendants thereof although some efforts have been made by local officials including City Councilmember Allen Witte who represents Downtown Eastside neighborhood adjacent thereto that contains large concentrations African American dwellings striving for revitalization notwithstanding grave poverty rates notwithstanding major Disadvantages faced thereby) Despite chronic problems such as high crime rates (particularly violent crime), lacklustre job prospects outside city limits due largely to low wages (and thus few opportunities for advancement outside government jobs), poor school performance by inner-city students living near schools operated by state run charter schools despite impressive financial assistance received from local taxpayers via bond issues dating back several decades prior Mayor Lenny Curry appropriated an additional $5 million dollars annually from general fund revenues specifically earmarked for education purposes increase pupil achievement through programs targeted at reducing suspensions/arrests/juvenile delinquency among black male students minority ethnic children earning less than $30,000 annually represent more than 60% percent majority white households owning homes within city limits have resided here since before1990 indicating continuing patterns typified nationally among coastal communities experiencing rapid suburbanification

One early pioneer in this field was Hario, who developed a machine that ground whole beans and brewed them into a single flavor. The machine was first used in 1958 and quickly became popular, thanks in part to its convenience and low cost. Other early pioneers include Peet's Coffee (1956), Artisan Coffee Roasters (1970), Blue Bottle Coffee (1997), and Starbucks (1999). Today, there are countless small-scale roasters who distribute their coffee through various channels - from grocery stores to cafes - including those owned by Starbucks, Peet's Coffee, Artisan Coffee Roasters, Blue Bottle Coffee, Dunkin' Donuts/Diner King/Bagel House/Bread Boxxx etc. Each entrepreneur takes his or her own unique approach to brewing great tasting coffee at an affordable price point while still maintaining some level of quality control. Jacksonville Beach is a town in Jacksonville County, Florida, United States. The population was 70 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville–Boca Raton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town is located on the mainland of Northeast Florida and lies between Boca Raton and Fort Pierce on State Road 7. The first post office opened in 1884, and as Jacksonville grew, so did its need for lumber to build ships and other items necessary for economic development. By 1912, Jacksonville had become an important shipping point due to its access to the mouth of the St Johns River. In 1916, Jacksonville Beach became a city with its own police department and fire department. The city annexed parts of neighboring Boca Raton in 1922 and 1926 respectively. In 1938, after Hurricane Donna passed through Southeast Florida, locals voted to make their beachfront community an all-year round resort with state funding for infrastructure construction such as showers and roads. During World War II, Jacksonville Beach played an important role as a military staging area before being transferred to Flagler County in 1941 as part of the Fort Pierce concentration camp relocation plan that relocated inmates from North Miami-Dade County during the war effort. After the war ended in 1945, many businesses closed down due to difficult economic times; however some managed to stay open such as Jaxo's Grill which reopened in 1948 after being closed by previous owner John Dooley Sr.. In 1957 Dwight Eisenhower made his campaign stop at Jaxo's Grill while he was campaigning for president; this event helped spur business growth within Jaxo's Grill which continued until it closed down again in 1984 due to financial difficulties but reopened under new ownership soon afterwards In 1963 Mayor Jack McDermott declared January 1st "Jaxo Beach Day" to celebrate beach goers' access to enjoy all areas including water sports without having shoes or clothes weighed on them when they got out onto the beach On November 15th 1987 there was a large tornado outbreak that touched parts of Southwest Florida affecting Jacksonvill
