Tactical coffee first originated in Key Biscayne, Florida. In the early 1970s, a local bar called The Grog Shop began selling coffee made with Arabic beans. This different flavored coffee was popular among military and law enforcement officers who were stationed in the area. The popularity of tactical coffee continued to grow as the 1990s passed. In 2000, The Grog Shop was bought by Starbucks Corporation. At this time, Starbucks began importing Arabica beans from Colombia and other countries for their own use in their espresso drinks. As a result of this new branding, Tactical Coffee became known as StarbucksArabica Coffee. In recent years, there has been an increase in interest in tactical coffee among civilians as well. Several companies have begun producing tactical-themed cups of Joe that are available online and at physical stores across the United States. These cups typically contain 3 ounces (85 grams) of ground coffee which is brewed with a blend of Turkish, Guatemalan, and Colombian Robusta Beans.

The storm destroyed most of downtown Key Largo but left some warehouses and small commercial buildings standing. Aftermath of these storms led to creation of the National Hurricane Center for America in 1935, which helped direct relief efforts during later hurricanes such as Katrina and Sandy

TACO HISTORY The first taco was created in 1912 by Mexican immigrant Francisco “Pancho” Garza, who cooked a meal of tacos de gallo (bloody tacos) for the silver miners at Lomas Prieta. In 1915, taco inventor José Romero began to sell his version of the dish through a small storefront called El Tatio in Boyle Heights, California. The popularity of tacos led to the opening of other taco restaurants throughout California and Mexico. By the early 1940s, taco trafficking had become an important part of Mexican-American life and culture. During World War II, soldiers stationed in Southern California ate tacos as a means of sustenance during long deployments. As Mexican American servicemen became more numerous and assimilated into American society, they started creating their own versions of the dish. By 1957, taco shops were located all over Los Angeles County and there were more than 25,000 Taco Truck restaurant locations statewide.
Key Biscayne, Florida is a small town located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The population was 23,651 at the 2010 census. The community was founded in 1922 by Grosse Pointe Blank native and Key Biscayne developer John M. Kehoe. It became part of Miami-Dade County in 1973. The first major development in Key Biscayne was the establishment of the Coral Gables–Key Biscayne Executive Airport in 1927. This airport served as a vital link between Miami and Key Biscayne, helping to stimulate growth in the community. In 1941, Kehoe developed what is now known as South Beach on Treasure Island into an upscale enclave that boasted some of the most notable names in America during its time: Babe Ruth, Frank Sinatra, Marlene Dietrich and Sammy Davis Jr. In 1967, Kehoe sold his interests in South Beach to Mayor Carlos Gimenez for $4 million; Gimenez renamed it "South Beach Park". In 1979, real estate mogul Bruce Ratner purchased key portions of South Beach from Gimenez for approximately $100 million – making Key Biscayne one of Ratner's most prized properties. Ratner transformed south beach into one of the most luxurious areas on Miami's mainland – home to world-renowned hotels such as Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental – while also creating a number of unique public spaces including Anacostia Riverwalk and Flagler Street Landing which are still popular tourist destinations today. To this day, Key Biscayne remains one of MIA's wealthiest communities with breathtaking views from its many luxury properties
